High School Teams

The Nemesis Elite High School teams work on Sunday:
1.
CORE Fusion and hitting practice at TPBC.
2. SAT prep at TPBC.

14u Blue

Nemesis 14u Blue played plenty of games this past weekend, starting with a doubleheader on Saturday evening. The team was physically there but lacked the emotional and mental focus, resulting in blowout losses in both games. Special thanks to Kamryn Bellamy from the 12u Gold squad for helping the team in the second game.

On Sunday, the team was better focused after their horrible performance the previous night. At least 3 players hit homeruns, led by Andrea Gonzales’ monster bomb in left field! Pitching was phenomenal once again by Destiny Cerda and Jocelyn Hernandez. The only two pitchers in the team until their HS teammate returns, this dynamic duo held down the defense and even had two shutout games. All in all, the team scored a combined 43 runs for Sunday.

Up next for the NE 14u Blue team is the St. Paddy’s Day Blast Tournament in Las Vegas, NV hosted by LV Tourneys.

 12u Gold

Report from Coach Phil:
This weekend started off on Saturday with a great workout. Crystal from our 18 gold team worked with for an hour with our catchers.

Sunday we played two games in a friendly that we hosted.
vs. OC ELITE 4-3 (W)
vs. 12u BLUE 10-7 (L)

12U Gold had a set back on the defensive side, which is a uncharacteristic of this team. The team committed 8 errors in the game vs. OC ELITE which resulted in 3 runs.In our second game our pitchers and catchers really struggled. Giving up way to manny walks and constantly getting behind in the count. Also the catcher allowed 8 pass balls in the game. The one bright spot was Kamryn Bellamy who played lights out offensively and defensively. Kamryn gave up zero earned runs in 7innings pitched, she made play after play at while playing thirdbase. Kamryn hit the ball hard all day including a homerun to right centerfield. She also laid down perfect bunts when called apon.

12u Blue

Report from Team Manager Rosa:
12u Blue played in a Friendly host by the 12u Gold Team at Indy.  The team played extremely well this weekend.  In the first game Brianna started things off by each hitting a shot out to left field bringing in Haylee for our first run. After a minor hiccup at the bottom of the 1st inning the defense kept the momentum up when Emilie threw the ball hit towards her to Bailey for the first out, then Bailey threw the ball to Morgan to get the runner on base out at home for a double play.  In the fourth inning Brianna, Morgan, Mia, AC and Joleen with an RBI all had quality at bats.  The hitting continued in the 5th inning with Rayann, Lani and Brianna with an RBI. Emilie pitched 4 good inings striking out one batter and walking only 1.  Daisy came in to pitch the 5th and final inning and did a great job.
NE Blue vs. OC Elite (W) 8 -5

In the second game things got exciting when Emilie hit a bomb out to left field for a homerun. Clarissa followed by hitting a shot out between left and center field for a 2 base hit. The quality at bats continued on with Lani and Haylee all in the 1st inning. Top of the second inning and Daisy got things really started with a 3 base hit out to right field bringing in 2 runs. Defense continued to put in work insuring not to lose the lead they gained in the first 2 innings. Majority of the girls were all hitting and it was exciting to see. Daisy pitched the 1st inning walked 4 but came back strong to strike out 2 batters. AC pitched innings 2 – 4 and did an excellent job and had no walks.
NE Blue vs. OC Elite (W) 10 -6

Player(s) of the week:

Lani and Emily. Lani was a beast at short stop in both games making sure to stop the ball and did not let any balls get by her. Emily was not only hot on the mound but at bat as well hitting a home run in the second game against the Gold team. Way to Work Girls!

Next for the 12u Blue team…

The team heads to Perris for the TCS Dancing in the Dessert Tournament Saturday and Sunday.
