18u Gold
Team goes "COLD" in Hemet.  The 18u Gold team played in the TCS Tourney of Champions in Hemet.  The team won 1 game and lost 4.  By far the worst performance year-to-date.

From a softball perpective the team played "poor" softball.  The lack of field practice was evident as the team failed to cover 5 bunts...a recipe for disaster against quality competition.  Every aspect of the game was below standard, pitching, defense, hitting and baserunning.

Leilani led the team in batting average .750 (6 hits) and Crystal was very strong behind the plate all weekend and batted .500 (4 hits).

18u Blue
Report from Mike:

Nemesis 18u Blue Played in the USA Prep national Showcase in Palmdal/Lancaster.
Friday Started with the team events and All Star selection game ran by the 48+ college scouts.  Three girls Rocky, Cara and Sammie represented NE in the All star game. In the 2nd inning, Cara came up and hit a shot that knocked the pitcher off the mound and then Sammie followed with almost the same exact hit to drive in Cara from 2nd base.  Unfortunately, the game was cut short when  a snow flurry hit the ball field.

The tournament continued on Saturday. Nemesis faced the USA prep all star team. Coach Perry Clark from Waubonsee ILL was our assistant coach. The All star team was coached by the University of Finlandia & Cal Berkeley.
Nemesis played very competitive in this event but did not get any breaks from the umpires. Bianca hit HR in game 1 which would have given us a 1 run lead but the umps called it a ground rule double and that luck continued through the tournament. The girls and parents where real troopers playing in the 30% weather. The event was a bit disorganized because of the weather problems and the umpires were the worst I have ever experienced but the scouts were there as promised.

Scouts that were present watching.

16u Gold
Report from Team Manager - Marney Wright: Nemesis 16U Gold was off to a slow start after having a weekend off.  Thankfully we slowly picked up momentum as the day went on.  Lost the first two games but came back to win the third game...and quite strongly I might add.  As a team, we hit the ball very well this weekend with "bang it" hits as Coach Reach taught us.  The girls practiced "yes, yes, yes, BANG" and "yes, yes, yes, spit on it" all weekend as well as their breathing between each pitch.  We also implemented the 4 hitters technique so that the 4th hitter starts her "at bat" from the bench.  I would have to say Coach Reach's techniques definitely made an impact!

16u Blue
This weekend was another impressive string of victories for the 16u Blue Crew.

Led by Power Hitting, and Power Pitching, the team went a perfect 3 - 0, and are on a 5 game winning streak!  Marissa J. Mya'h, and Kassy baffled the opponents all day, and all recorded wins this weekend.  Hayley, Autymn, Mya'h, and Kassy all hit homeruns on the day, and proved to be too much for the opposition.
The team faced deficits, bases loaded with no outs, and multiple threats on the day, but would not cave to adversity!  Autymn lead the charge offensively coming out of a hitting slump, while Chelsea anchored the outfielders.  Jelissa continues to lead the team, and is becoming a dominant Catcher, while Hayley and Janae lock down the middle of the field.
The team still needs to continue develop defensively, and not allowing the opponents to jump ahead early with costly errors.  The ability to own the late innings remains the focus, and is accomplished through grueling preparation at every practice.  Next week:  Surf City!

NE 16 Blue 6 - SB Surf 3
NE 16 Blue 4 - Dynasty 2
NE 16 Blue 5 - BC Prospects 3

Continue the progress and follow the motto: "DO WORK!!!"

14u Blue
NE 14u Blue team played away on Saturday and came away with 4 victories.

The Nemesis Elite 14U team played 4 games on the road on Saturday, November 10th in friendly games hosted by the USA Athletics. The team’s subpar hitting was assisted by the dominant pitching of Mini Mendoza, Destiny Cerda, and Jocelyn Hernandez, helping the team win all four games. Great defense was also displayed by both the infield and outfield players which helped mask the few errors that the team made all day (coaches included!). The team made good timely hits late in each of the four games, although it was too close for comfort. The bats need to come alive a little bit earlier in the game so we’re not playing catch up. Still, great comeback by the team and way to stay cool under pressure.

12u Gold

12u Blue

Sunday, the Nemesis Elite 12u Blue Team hosted yet another friendly and showed their greatest improvement to date!  The girls showed their most focused efforts of play and execution and were rewarded by going 1-1-1 on 11/11 J!   12u Blue played three tough games, highlighted by an awesome come back victory over the Firecrackers of HB.

Nemesis Elite vs Courage – L 0-3
Nemesis Elite vs Firecrackers HB – W 6-5
Nemesis Elite vs PureFastpitch – T 4-4

IMG_0029, Uploaded from the Photobucket Android AppTeamwork was the name of the game as all the stars of the 12u Blue contributed to the day’s success, either with the glove or with the bat.  Dominique was a trooper catching all three games and making some great throws against baserunners.
The pitching trio of Macey, AC, and Emilie all put in solid pitching efforts keeping 12u Blue in the game and trusting the defense behind them to take care of business!  The defense supporting the pitchers did a commendable job making plays while minimizing errors!  Highlight of the day was against the FC when AC made a sweet backhand on a sharp groundball down 3rd base line and throwing the runner out!
Execution was the key on offense during the last two games of the day w/ quality at bats to get on base, aggressive base running and timely hits to score runners!
The weekend’s efforts were outstanding both by the parents, for hosting the event, and the girls for their improved play on the field!  The day was capped by the team’s B-day Celebration for Haylee aka Lil Bit, as she finally reached the double digits, 10!  Cupcakes were enjoyed by all!
Next weekend … games at Indy.
