Bulldogs Finish Season with a Win

The Bulldogs ended their 2012 regular season on a high note with a 14-12 victory over the Seacoast Vipers.  The Bulldogs were led by their defense, which didn't allow the Vipers offense in the endzone until under a minute left.  The defense also held the Vipers on both 2 point conversion attempts, which was ultimatly the difference in the game.  The Vipers were able to score on a interception returned for a TD in the first half, and scored again with under a minute left as they capitalized on their hurry up passing offense.  They came up short however as their pass attempt for the 2 point conversion to tie the game with only seconds left fell incomplete.

The Bulldogs were able to capitalize on their running game this week as running back Ray Rizzi scored all 14 of the Bulldogs points as he had 2 rushing TD's and the 2 point conversion.  The Bulldogs offensive, featuring only 5 opening day starters, was able to open enough holes for Rizzi to time and again find enough yards for a first down.

The Bulldogs finished their 2012 season with a 2-6 record and will compete along with the Tri City Charge in the NEFL2 post season.
