Sad news Wildcat fans, Your Nebraska Wildcats after seven seasons have decided to not continue with the football team.  When asked Co-owner Edgar Mace Sr. had this to say " The decision was not made lightly and it took us along time to come to it.  But with the current atmosphere in the Metro area surrounding things like what we are doing , then we just figured that it was time to fold the team. One reason is that the area  now has about four other teams!  This area can not support this many.  It seams like everyone and his brother thinks that they can just put together a team!  Another reason is that some of the people who have put teams in the Metro Area are the type of people who we have worked for the past seven years correcting the mistakes and the flat out lies and deceptions that they have made.  Events have come full circle and now those people who have put a black eye on the sport of football at this level and in this area  are back!  They are the reasons that football at this level is a joke.  We do want to thank all the real fans who supported us over the years and hope that we have not dissapointed them by this decision." 

Well nothing left to say, the Wildcats are going away and what is left in this area will no doubt put more black eyes on adult amatuer football.  Thanks to all you Wildcat fans for your support and we hope that you have a great new year!
