Post-season Tournament Schedules Announced

Post-seasaon tournaments for Little League progams in Nevada District 1 have recently been announced.

 Sparks Centennial LL and Sparks National LL will host the unique "Hooligan" and "Renegade" Trounaments of Nevada District 1 Jointly. Games are schedule to begin on June 24 and will be played at Shadow Mountain Park and Golden Eagle Regional Park.

The District 1 All-Star Tournament will be hosted this year by Carson City LL. Tournament play will feature 3 age divisions - 12/11s, 11/10s and 10/9s. Games are scheduled to begin on July 7 and will be played at Governor's Field. The winner of each division advances to the Nevada State Little League Chmpionship Tournament. Additionally, for the first time in District 1 history, the Challenger Program (for special needs players) will field 2 team to play a game at the tournament.

Carson City LL will also host the Nevada State Little League Championship Tournament this year. There are 4 Little League Districts in Nevada and the winners in all 3 age divisions from each District will start play on July 24 at Governor's Field to determine a Little League State Champion for each age division.

The winner of the 12/11 year-old age division will advance to the Little League Western Regional Tournament in San Bernardino, California where play begins on August 6. The winner of this tournament advnaces to the Little League World Series in Williamsport Pennsylvania where play starts August 20.

Nevada District 1 Little League plans to post the games scores of both District and State Tournaments on its Facebook wall each day.

2010 LL Congress voting results are in

The 2010 LL Congress voting results are in!

 Rules Changes that will take effect this year and will be of interest to your Tournament Teams are Issue #5 (allows Tournament Teams to play in Special Games after June 15) and Issue #16 (allows Tournament Teams to practice against other Tournament Teams in their Division in this District or other contiguous Districts).

Taking effect next year is Issue #18 (which increases minimum play for Tournament Teams with 12 or fewer players).

A reminder that we will not meet in April.  However, we will hold a meeting on May 2 at 5.00 pm at usual place.
