6:51 PM Motion by Burlington to begin meeting – seconded by Lakewood – vote unanimous in favor – meeting started.

7:02 NCYFL President reports:
Arlington Youth Football sent a letter removing themselves from the NCYFL. They will join N. Sound League.
Arlington did leave in Good Standing and would be welcome back if they choose to return.
Budget: Don will be at next meeting to go over Budget. We will still have $50 per Org and $100 per team. We
still owe for Oak Harbor Stadium Rental.

Anacortes: Nothing to report
Friday Harbor: Nothing to report
Darrington: Nothing to report
South Whidbey: Made a Motion to Have unlimited number of weight waiver players on roster, with only two allowed on the
field at a time, between the tackles. Players helmets will be marked with tape (or something that can be seen) all waiver
players subject to 6 play minimum. More than 2 weight waiver players on field is a 5 yard penalty. Second by Burlington.

7:20 Concrete: Made a Motion Any Senior Player who is 14 September 1st is 14 for the Season.(no Freshmen) Second by
Ferndale. Approved.
7:30 La Conner: Introduced a plan to move all the age brackets down one year in the Mountain Division. This would make it
easier for smaller cities to field Senior teams, but would eliminate crossover games. Much discussion tabled until next
month.
7:45 President NCYFL: Asked all reps to go through Handbook and look for anything. Typos, etc.

Social Media: Facebook has become an issue within the NCYFL. While facebook can be used as a positive and strong
Promotional tool, negative comments and attacks on refs, coaches and players need should not happen. NCYFL will be
adding verbiage to the leagues code of conduct policy referring social media.
Motion by Burlington second by LaConner to add Social Media to the NCYFL code of Conduct. VP South will talk With
John Dumas about wording and then present back to the board.

Stanwood: Would Like Refs to be more approachable.
Ferndale: Ref’s need to make time to talk. Long Discussion, maybe we should grade refs so we have more input.
Mt Vernon: Nothing to Report
8:15 Oak Harbor: Flag Football available.$50.00 for the season
Burlington: High school coach came to Burlington youth football meeting. Working on High School field use
S.Whidbey: Jean Streitter taking a year off. Scott the VP of S Whidbey will be Rep this year.
Lakewood: talk of moving to Mountain Division?
