North Cascade Youth Football League: is a non-profit youth football organization operating in Snohomish, Skagit, Island, San Juan and Whatcom Counties. The NCYFL covers the largest geographical area of any youth sports organization in Washington State, with 16 member communities belonging to the league, and we're still growing strong!

NCYFL REQUIRED HEAD INJURY PREVENTION PROGRAM: Zachery Lystedt Law, was signed into law on May 14, 2009. It requires, as of July 26, 2009, that additional steps be taken regarding concussions in school athletic programs and non-profit athletic groups using school district facilities. The WIAA is charged with the responsibility of developing guidelines, which will be made available in a variety of formats including WIAA website links. |

MISSION STATEMENT: "THE KIDS COME FIRST" Our League's goal is to help in the development of young people who learn not only the fundamentals of football in a competitive atmosphere, but they also learn about character. We practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship and physical fitness. Our League stresses learning lessons of value, such as self-discipline, teamwork, friendship, respect, leadership, and having FUN along the way!!! THE KIDS COME FIRST POLICY: Is the reason for our continued success. We are PROUD to be the leader in setting the standard for excellence in youth sports.

PARENTS! Remember... Your child is guaranteed at least six (6) plays in every game! Sometimes our coaches need a little help being reminded of that! If your child is NOT getting at least six (6) plays a game... Please contact and advise the officer that represents your program. |

The Purpose and philosophy of the NCYFL is three-fold, with Safety foremost in mind.
1. The game is for the KIDS.
2. To provide any and every opportunity to play football for fun. 3. To teach sportsmanship, discipline, self-control and the fundamentals of football, while encouraging competitive play with KIDS of comparable age and weight. |

We love to hear from our parents, and we will listen...not just hear you. We want you to feel free to tell us what you think, good or bad, we do care. In 2010 Melanie Schubert was appointed quality control deputy to help in that task. Her mission is to inform & assist parents understand what & how NCYFL functions..
