THE RESIDENTIAL CAMP (for ages 9-18)

This dynamic camp for girls ages 9 and older is tailored to challenge the player in every aspect of her game. Our training environment is designed to develop individual skills in an atmosphere that promotes creativity, intensity and fun. The technical and tactical aspects of each position will be closely analyzed in staff/camper demonstrations which cover a number of offensive and defensive topics throughout the camp. In this training environment, players are trained according to their skill level so as to challenge them with attainable goals. Players will quickly be able to develop and test their skills in competitive evening matches. Our goal is to instill skills and techniques that players can take back home and be able to improve their play through individual practice. We want to help each camper develop into a more versatile player who can play at the highest level. The training is taken directly from the pages of the Wolfpack soccer program and takes place in a first-class learning environment. Those trying out for school teams or going to college will greatly benefit from Coach Kerrigan's direct involvement in all aspects of the school. Players who prefer not to stay overnight, but wish to enjoy the benefits of this intense program may register as a Commuter.

About the Goalkeeper Camp Within the Residential Camp

The Girls Soccer Camp at NC STATE does not forget about the special demands placed on a goalkeeper. This camp within a camp is taught by award-winning goalkeepers and will be offered during both sessions. The goalkeepers will receive separate training, but will participate in the evening matches and other game-like activities, with the rest of camp. The goalkeeper camp will emphasize teaching the technical and tactical aspects of the position including distribution, communication, diving, one-on-one saves, deflecting, positioning, and punching the ball. In the evenings, the goalkeepers will be closely evaluated in matches and activities.

THE EVENING CAMP (for ages 5-12)

This camp is designed for younger players who wish to learn and improve their soccer skills in a fun, activity-based environment. Our staff consists of highly qualified coaches who can demonstrate and teach each skill fully, as well as age-appropriate tactics and fundamentals of team play.

    Accommodations for Residential Camp:
At North Carolina State University - University Towers

The ultramodern University Towers will serve as the residence facility for both campers and coaches. Convenient to all playing sites, University Towers offers a safe environment with large, air-conditioned rooms and a private bathroom and shower for each suite. Located on the 9th floor of University Towers, the dining facility provides all-you-can-eat meals with a flexible schedule for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Television lounges are available on every floor for campers to enjoy videotaped soccer matches, movies, TV programs, etc. The facility also has a fitness center, game room, laundry are, and a reception area staffed and secured 24 hours a day.

    PLAYING FACILITIES
The Girls Soccer Camps at NC STATE have access to all of the playing facilities that the NC STATE soccer teams use to train.

    Seminar on College Recruiting
During the Residential Camp, the camp staff will provide a seminar for all players interested in pursuing a college soccer playing career. The seminar will discuss the intricacies of college recruiting, such as the different levels of play in college soccer, how to make college coaches aware of you, what scholarships and financial aid may be available, and some information about college admissions. The seminar will be followed by a questions and answer session. Many former and current Wolfpack players were "discovered" as a result of their participation in the Girls Soccer Camp at NC STATE.
