North Canton Little League: Welcome

Tuesday, April 22

Saturday is our traditional Round Robin Day, where teams play a series of short exhibitions against each other.  It's also the annual Tag Day.  Thank you for your support of these events.

The  minor league Tigers are going to Massillon on Saturday to participate in Massillon's opening day.  Wish them good luck!

Our majors teams will be participating in interleague play with Holly Hills this season.  Each night, we will either send a team to Barr Elementary School where Holly Hills plays, or host a team on Field #3.   Let's really show some sportsmanship and encourage the players for both teams.

Once again this year, we will need volunteer scorekeepers and pitch counters at each game.  Please feel free to volunteer.  I think you'll find it really increases your participation in the game.  And you don't have to be an expert.  Just follow along with the game.

If someone has a burning desire to become this site's webmaster, it could use a fresh perspective.  You can do as much, or as little as you want.  I like to see scores posted after each game, though.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Practices have started.  Just a word of caution, the restrooms will not be opened every night.  There is no one on staff to clean them, and when they are unattended, they tend to need cleaned daily.  There are Port-a-Potties coming.  We hope to have them between fields #4 and #5, for those fans farthest away from the concession stand.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our fields sit on 19 beautiful acres that we lease from the city, but completely maintain.  We pay for our utility use, garbage, grass cutting, weed control and irrigation, as well as try to keep improving the playing conditions.  If you have any questions on how we spend our registration income, please ask for a copy of our operating budget.
