NCLL 1st annual Joe Robinson Memorial Day Weekend Tournament May 24-26, 2013

The North Canton Little League (NCLL) is preparing for our 13th Annual North Canton Little League Memorial Day Weekend Tournament. This will be the first year it is dedicate to the memory of Joe Robinson. This event will take place at the North Canton Little League Complex. Each year we have 16 to 24 teams from Central and Northeast Ohio participating in this highly organized and competitive event.

This year we begin play on Friday, May 24 and will crown our tournament champion on Sunday, May 26. This is a Little League Special Games Tournament, played under Little League rules and conditions.

The fee to get in this tournament is $325 per team. All games will be played at the North Canton Little League Complex: 1455 East Maple Street NE, North Canton, OH 44720.

NCLL will be serving a variety of concessions and fast food. A large shaded pavilion is available for your team's use between games. Teams in this tournament are LL regular season teams, augmented to account for holiday weekend family plans. Most participants are combinations of 2 or 3 regular season teams.

Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games played on May 24 and 25. The top 4 teams advance to semi-final play on May 26.

The NCLL will provide umpires and baseballs.

Pitching is restricted to 2 innings per game by any individual pitcher. A pitcher may pitch 2 innings in as many games as their team participates in on any day.

Minimum playing time resembles Little League tournament play -- a starter may re-enter his position in the batting order after his sub plays 2 consecutive defensive innings and bats once. Teams will bat 9 players.

Equipment will be inspected and must meet LL safety standards. For those teams that don't play LL baseball, that means your catcher will need a dangling throat protector and a long-cut chest protector, and bats must pass through a 2.25 inch ring.

Any composite bats will have to be on the official list of approved LL bats in order to be used.

Registration forms can be found under the MISC INFO link on the NCLL home page. For more information or questions, please contact the NCLL Tournament Director, Scott Clark at 330 760 2840.
