Cubs triumph in Majors
Coach Evans managed to hold off the A's for the 17th City Championship since the complex opened, 6-4.  What a conclusion to one of the craziest weeks of baseball in memory.

In a game shortened by weather, the Cubs defeated the Mariners, 13-2, to take this year's minor league championship.  Mario Tortorella pitched a complete game, striking out 5.
