Randolph County player OK
After a long, hot day of baseball... we in Garner decided it was appropriate to let everyone know that Randolph County Post 45 short-stop, Neil Pritchard, is doing alright.   We also would like to wish Lucas Martin of Durham Post 7 a quick return to the diamond.  Both players battled heat related health issues Thursday.

Rowan County - Area 3
Rowan County of Area 3 is 16-1 overall and 11-1 in their league. Rowan County is traditionally one of the top teams in the state and this year looks to be no exception. Meanwhile, Lexington Post 8 is right on their heels with a 14-3 record overall and 10-2 league record.

Wednesday, June 20
Sleeper?
Nash County Post 58 has jumped out to a 7-2 record and has played very well. Could they be this year's sleeper?

POST 46: Chisenhall throws a no-hitter
Lonnie Chisenall, the 2006 State Championship MVP, tossed a no hitter on June 1st to lead Morehead City Post 46 to a 14-0 win over Brunswick County. Chisenhall was also 3-5 at the plate and is a big reason why the defending State Champs are off to a 5-0 start.
