Final Registrations

We're down to our last  registrations at Las Palmas Park for the 2012 Summer Season. They'll take place on:

Registration Information

League Age: The League Age for all players will be their actual age on January 1 of the current year. Players new to the League, must present a certified Birth Certificate before being assigned to a team.

Divisions:

Mini Division - 6 to 8 years old
Minor Division - 9 to 11 years old

Major Division - 12 to 14 years old
Senior Division - 15 to 18 years old

Fees: Registration fees are $80 per player. Fees include ASA registration and insurance, team jersey, trophy and team picture package.

Important Note: Players who played in the League during last season who wish to return to the same team must register prior to Player drafts on Tuesday, June 5.

Player Assessments

Sunday, June 3

National City Girls Softball League will hold Player Assessments on Sunday, June 3. All players new to the League and returning players moving up to a higher Division must attend player assessments to be eligible for the drafts. Players who do not attend assessments will be placed on teams in a random drawing on a space available basis.

Note: Players returning to the same team as last season do not need to attend assessments, but must be registered prior to drafts on Tuesday, June 5.

Assessments will be conducted according to Divisions at the following times:

Mini Division (ages 6, 7, 8) - 2:00pm

Minor Division (ages 9, 10, 11) - 2:30pm

Major Division (ages 12, 13, 14) - 3:00pm

Senior Division (ages 15, 16, 17 & 18) - 3:30pm

Players will be assessed on throwing, fielding and hitting ability. These assessments will not be used to determine whether or not a player will be selected to a team. They will help our coaches determine the skill levels of the players. All players who attend assessments will be selected to a team regardless of playing ability.

Players should be at the field at least one half hour before their scheduled assessment time in order to sign in and warm up. Players should wear normal play clothes and sneakers. No one  wearing open toed shoes or flip flops will be allowed on the field. The League will supply bats and balls. Players should bring their own gloves.
