On our way to Florida
To all Parents;
We have 3 weeks to get money together to go to Florida. The most effective way to travel would be by Motor Coach. The best quote thus far is $9,950 with Creative Travel. Many bus companies are booked at this time and its going to be kind of hard to find someone to take us. The total cost per person at this time is estimated at $220. We have sent emails out to various community representatives throughout the state for financial help. The league will also provide us with $3,200. If you know of any local business or organizations that may be able to help please give them a copy of the sponsor letter. If all goes as plan we will be pulling out on the evening of Thursday April 12th. Arrive in Florida early Friday afternoon. The game is on Saturday April 14th (We do not know the time just yet) We plan to leave to come back home early Sunday morning. Any questions - please call me.

Good News!!!
Due to the overwhelming response from our parents securing donations - we are delighted to announce that each team member will be going to Florida FREE OF CHARGE!!! That is correct. They earned it and most of all deserve it. We are asking that parents provide spending money for food for three full days. If anyone is experiencing hardship please contact Coach Smitty for possible funds set aside for that purpose. We are planning to meet at Rose HIll Community Center on Thursday April 12th between 5 and 6 for our Kick Off Pep Rally. Refreshments will be served. We will load the bus at 6:30 and depart by 7pm. Get ready for a loooooong ride. Bring a blanket and pillow for comfort. Please bring any Dvds and/or VHS tapes for the ride. You will also need to pack your overnight personals on the bus. Because we will be riding all night and not reaching our destination until early afternoon - we will need to stop for breakfast and freshin' up (meaning brush your teeth and wash your face...........) The weather is 85 degrees now so you may want to pack a few summer outfits and swimming trunks. There are a few fast food restaurants within walking distance of the hotel "Cape Paradise Resort". The game will be Saturday afternoon at the Lees County Sports Complex. We are planning to depart from the hotel by 7AM Sunday morning. We should arrive back in New Castle by 2AM Monday morning. We trust that this will be an experience of a life time for most and win or lose - we will enjoy the trip anyway!!!!!!!!!!
We will have a parent meeting Tuesday night for anyone with questions. We also need everyone to bring a copy of you childs insurance card and each parent will need to complete a permisson slip acknowleding your permission for you child to travel and also advising of any medication that will need to be administered. We would like all medications including inhaler pumps to be checked in with a team coach so that it may be easily accessed. Thank you

A wonderful trip
The trip to Florida was a success. We didn't win the game but we had a very good time. Special thanks to the players and their families for making this trip possible. The team deserved every bit of it. We also thank the players for being on their best behavior for majority of the trip - there were a few little things here and there but not enough to spoil the trip for anyone. Please stay tuned and expect a call about our team recognition bar b que coming up Saturday May 12th. The place will be announced shortly. At this time we are asking that all players bring their practice pants and blue jerseys along with any other equipment that has not been turned in. Please bring all of this to the Bar B Que. We also would like for any family members to bring side dishes. WE will provide the meat. More info to follow.
