Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the FPLL Veteran Coach Pitch Yankees outscored the Mets 19-9 in five innings.

There were 42 hits, including eight extra base hits in the game.

Ten runs in the opening three innings allowed the FPLL Veteran Coach Pitch Yankees to easily put away the Mets. An RBI single by Reed Johansson, a two-run triple by Justin Lejano, an RBI double by Ethan Walker, an RBI single by Ramsey Bugg, and an RBI single by Adrian Theerman during the first inning and a two-run triple by Matthew Warsaw and an RBI single by Reed in the second inning supplied the early offense for the FPLL Veteran Coach Pitch Yankees.

Matthew put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the FPLL Veteran Coach Pitch Yankees.

The FPLL Veteran Coach Pitch Yankees pounded the Mets pitching, as eight hitters combined for 23 hits, 12 RBIs and 17 runs scored.

The FPLL Veteran Coach Pitch Yankees added three more runs in the top of the fourth. Ramsey kicked things off with a single, scoring Matthew. That was followed up by Daylin Mitchell's single, plating Reed and Brian Cohn.

Six runs in the bottom of the fourth helped the Mets close their deficit to 13-9. A two-run triple by Benjamen, an RBI single by Jake, a two-run triple by John Allen Stillwell, and an RBI single by Christopher triggered the Mets' comeback.

The FPLL Veteran Coach Pitch Yankees increased their lead with six runs in the fifth. Ty McKay singled, plating Sam Burnette to start the inning.
