Thanks, I'm so happy to see that something like this has finally been organized. We need better promotion of the multi-events to youth athletes. Just looking at some of the best HS track websites reveals how poor their knowledge of HS decathletes are. If they track decathlon marks at all, then their list is usually very short, sometimes just maybe five or six athletes, and woefully incomplete. For example, how many HS athletes scored 6000 or more points during the 2006 season? My own son Michael has begun to do decathlons so I thought that question was a good start point. Well, the answer is that nobody knows for certain without having to search the results of many meets throughout the country. In fact, even knowing which meets even offer a decathlon is a challenge. So I welcome your organization wholeheartedly and will do all I can to promote knowledge of your existence. Thanks again!
