Rangers: Welcome
Monday, March 23
Everyone,
NASLL has been invited to come and see the Tides take on Old Dominion University on April 7th at 7:15pm. This event is free for the players, and costs are $5 per parent, $4 per kid. Military & Senior Citizens also only pay $4. If you would like to go please let Stacia or myself know no later than Monday the 30th. We need to have our roster to the league officials by the 31st. This should be an awesome time for everyone, so I hope you all come out.

Parents,
As many of you heard, the league bought two pitching machines for the coach pitch league to use during games. I have seen these machine, and can tell you all this is going to be a definite training aid for the kids. The type of machine they got is the Louisville Slugger Blue Flame Ultimate Pitching machine-for anyone who wants to check it out. Here is a description of the machine;
Mechanical throwing-No electricity required
Ball speed; Variable (19-45mph with standard balls).
Accurate pitching.
Can be used also for infield and outfield drills.
As far as the ball speed goes, I will keep it as low as possible until the kids get used to it, and then we will try to slowly notch it up. Their safety will be first and foremost on my mind.
Also, We have gotten out hands on one for practice on Tuesday, so the kids will have a chance to get up to speed in knowing what to expect.
See you all on Tuesday

Parents,
If you haven't noticed, the Concession Stand duty schedule is up. We have duty on the Week of May 18th thru the 21st. This will mean that we have four hour blocks each of those days. Over the next few weeks Stacia & I will get in touch with you and figure out what day is good for everyone.
