Food and Drink Restrictions
Each tournament establishes it's own set of rules about what is allowed at their site. A common practice is to set up a lobby or cafeteria area for snacks and restrict the gyms to 'Water Only' with heavy penalties against any team who's players or spectators bring food and drink into the gym. It is a good idea to assume that this is the case and leave all food and drink items (including coffee) outside of the gym unless you are SURE it is OK with the hosts.

- There is a lot of 'down time' during the day when the kids are not playing. The girls will be busy officiating other matches, meeting with the coaches or hanging around with each other on sleeping bags in their 'nests' in the hallways. So bring a book. Or a Walkman. Or a Banjo...
