Naples Track Club is an "Elite" competitive track and field traveling team competing in South Florida, National Championships, NIKE and ADIDAS Invitationals.

In 2006, Naples Track Club Incorporated as a Not for Profit Organization. Our mission is to reach out to the community and promote the sport of Track and Field to all levels of ability. The organization is Pro-Education and requires that all athletes that participate maintain a minimum of a "C" average in order to practice and compete. We are proud that over 90% of the participating athletes are "Honors" students. The organiztion is "Kid Friendly" and all coaches and volunteers must submit to extensive background checks which are conducted by United States Track and Field.
Track and Field offers athletes a chance to compete at all levels of ability and be successful individually; as well as, having team success in Club Championships. Coach Leatherbury has been competing and coaching track and field at an amateur; as well as, professional level for the past 25 years. Coach Leatherbury participated in the AAU and USATF Youth Development Programs as a young athlete. “These programs helped develop self confidence and a hard work ethic. Coach Leatherbury ran at an elite level capturing National Titles in the 200 meters and 400 meters individually and 400 meter and 1600 meter relays from his days in Age Group Track and Field through college. Naples Track Club was founded in 2004 by Coach Leatherbury, his son and three of his son's friends who wanted to get faster during the summer before football season. They exploded on to the track and field scene, eventually capturing seven National Titles in Sub-Midget Boys and placing seventh in the Nation with only four team members.

“In everyone there is a need to succeed and experience accomplishment. It is achieved through hard work and dedication to your goals. Winning can be achieved at all levels as long as achievable goals are set and success is assured. It is my job as a coach to identify individual athletes and guide them through the process of setting and reaching these goals. Self-confidence is gained and an experience that may guide them through adulthood.”

Coach Rob Leatherbury, Jr.
