Naperville Diamonds Softball Association Entering our 16th year, the Naperville Diamonds Softball Association has over 32 teams participating in the 2010 season. The Naperville Diamonds Softball Association exists to provide girls an opportunity to play competitive travel softball. We compete in two travel leagues, Tournament and SWS, to insure that girls of all levels develop the skills they need to perform at the top of their game. The program stresses development of skills, strives to build each individual's self-esteem and creates an environment where the participants will gain a sense of accomplishment, develop good sportsmanship and teamwork. ___________________________________________ Travel Teams PhilosophyIt is our philosophy to put together the best talented teams in our travel program as possible. This will allow the organization to strive towards the goal of putting together elite teams that can compete in the local, regional, and national tournaments. We group the teams in two year increments at the age levels of 8U, 10U, 12U 14U, 16U, and 18U. Tournament teams: These teams compete at the highest levels of Gold, Silver, Bronze and Platinum. Tryouts for these teams are in August of each year. SWS Tournament teams: These teams compete at the in the Southwest Suburban league and play in three or more tournaments per season. Tryouts for these teams are in August of each year. SWS teams: In addition to the elite tournament class of competition, Naperville Diamonds fields dozens of teams that compete in the highly competitive Southwest Suburban League. Teams play league games as well as tournaments. In addition to generous field practice time, the Diamonds provide training and development so players learn and excel at the basics and beyond. |
