WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT
NABA NATIONAL
The National Adult Baseball Association is America's premier adult amateur baseball organization. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the NABA offers competitive and recreational baseball in over 125 leagues in 40+ states. Currently, the NABA has over 30,000 player-members playing America's pastime on weekends and in twilight leagues.
And there's always room for more. The Dugout (national website--www.dugout.org) provides you with all the information you need, to decide if you'd like to be a part of the NABA team, either as a player, coach, manager, or sponsor. If you're already a part of the NABA, The Dugout will fill you in on the latest NABA News, upcoming tournament schedules and information, important contact numbers for NABA-National staff, and even a guide to dressing your best in official NABA Logo Merchandise.
The NABA is organized nationally into groups categorized by age. The largest division of play is the Open Division (18 & Over). The NABA also features 30 & Over, 40 & Over, 50 & Over divisions.
Where participation levels permit, divisions are divided into two or more leagues. These divisions are then classified by experience level. The advanced level (AAA) is typically for players that have 3-4 years of college and/or professional experience. The intermediate level (AA) is generally for the players with high school or some college experience. Finally, the recreational level (A) provides an opportunity for players whose love of the game perhaps exceeds their level of experience.
This divisional structure provides a level field for each player - regardless of experience and ability level, the NABA seeks to foster a competitive environment that is challenging for all involved.
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
In addition to offering adults the opportunity to once again play America's favorite game, the NABA this season will provide over $500,000 in contributions and donations to local youth programs, high schools colleges, and community athletic programs throughout the country. Since 1992, NABA contributions of this type have exceeded $2 million. The NABA has had, and will continue to have, a significant impact on baseball at all levels across the United States. Contact us today and let's talk about how the NABA can benefit your program.
While we have many current and former college players, as well as former professionals and big leaguers, you don't have to be a super star to play. Just call our league office at (561) 753-0068 and we'll try to get you placed on a team now, or enter your name in our player pool when teams have openings, or for our Spring 2008 league. Tryouts for that league will be held in early March. The date, time and location will be posted on this website. You're invited to join us. All you need is your glove or gloves (you can try out for any position) and a $5.00 tryout fee. You must be at least 18 years of age to play in our league.
WELCOME TO THE NABA OF PALM BEACH, where we play "THE REAL GAME".
