I played for Murphy's Red Sox for the first 3-4 years of the existence of WARBL (starting around 1985 or 1986??). Is this league the successor to WARBL?

The Southern Virginia Adult Baseball League (www.svabl.com) will be hosting a Memorial Day Tournament in the Newport News/Williamsburg area May 23rd-25th. Format will be wood bat with pool play (three games), semi-finals and championship. Cost is $700 and includes three game minimum, one dozen baseballs, liability insurance, fields and umpires. Start off your season with "Spring Training Experience" the tournament that feels like a fantasy camp at a faction of the cost. NABA players from leagues around the country along new players sign up and will be placed on a team and supplied with a jersey and cap of a MLB team, will also receive tickets for 2 MLB baseball games and a sit down banquet for the NABA Hall of Fame inductions with former pro player "Don Buford Sr." as the guest speaker. Tournament dates are March 22-25, 2007.

I am a 65 yr young retired person who enjoys ametuer sports as much as professional. found this site searching for american legion or comparable baseball teams in dc. will check back and see if i can make some of the games in this league
