Previous minutes read and accepted by Galusha & Bodnar.

Treasures Report: Accepted by George & Gehringer

Old Business:

  • No one came forward to fertilize the fields in the fall, will look into it in the spring
  • Coaches in place for Basketball, waiting for schedule from Milisits
  • Joe Sentiway to draw up letter for light usage on field 1 for boys LVL Baseball
  • Jeff Gober to start stand roof expansion in spring.
  • NAA Comedy Night went very well.  Thank you to Dina Galusha & Renee Heimbach for all their hard work.  ( Kutos & Wildman – accepted)

New Business

Basketball:

  • Questioned why Sunday games for the boys travel teams are playing on Court 1 and not 2 & 3 as in the past.  Much discussion and was stated that this was the schedule the Rec. Center had given us.
  • Banner for last years team has been ordered.

Softball:  none

Baseball

  • LVL Boys – Norhwest Beth & Laurys Station seeks to be included in league
  • Scott Barber resigns as Midget Travel coach
  • Mike Bodnar resigns as Travel LVL KneeHi coach
  • Motion for Mike Gehringer as LVL Travel Biddy (Hackman & Gober – accepted & passed)
  • Motion for Mike Bodnar AS LVL Connie Mack coach ( Sentiway & Liberti accepted & passed)
  • Open positions still looking for are Midget & KneeHi
  • Motion for New uniforms for the LVL Travel & Central  Whitehall teams to include vests & pants (Kerbacher & Bodnar accepted & passed)

Cheering – Nothing

FieldHockey  - Nothing

Wresting– none

Football – none

Other Business 

    • Election of Officers for 2008
    • Motion for Officers to stay in place (Sentiway & Wildman accepted & passed)

Old Business:

  • Basketball schedule finished through end of season and was distributed to all coaches at Rec. Center.
  • Basketball season inhouse ending March 8th
  • Gober still to work on stand when available.
  • Boys baseball uniforms orderd.

New Business

Basketball:

  • Everything is running fine with the new schedule and with the Rec. Center

Softball: 

  • Looking for girl travel coaches; 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U
  • Signups to be held at Rec Center
    • Feb 8 – 6-8
    • Feb 9  - 12-3
    • Feb 22 – 6-8
    • Feb 23 – 12-3
    • March 1 – 9-12 after this late fee will be charged

Baseball

  • Looking for Lehigh Valley Rep.
  • Motion for Dean Lakatosh to be head coach of KneeHi team (Sentiway & Bodnar accepted & passed
  • Motion for Glen Benes as Travel Midget head coach (Sentiway & George accepted & passed)
  • Motion for Rob Britton for Travel Midget Head Coach (McAndrew & Daugherty accepted & passed)
  • Written vote – Benes -9 Britton -6: Benes Head Coach of Travel Midget

Cheering – Nothing

Field Hockey  - Ann Yanek resigns as commissioner & head coach.  Thank you for all your time and effort into this program.

Wresting– none

Football

  • League meeting starts this month
  • Jeff Gober made a motion to replace 10 sets of Jerseys (Gober & Spangler accepted & passed)

OtherBusiness:

  • Baseball / Softball Evals will start on March 14th with a raindate of March 28th.  All travel coaches to set up schedule to have at sign ups.

Old Business:

  • First round of signups went well
  • Gober to still get football jerseys together to find out which ones need to be replaced. (Spangler & Gober accepted)

New Business

Basketball:

  • Season going well
  • Problem with 1 coach – board dealt with issue & gave him a 1 game suspension.

Softball: 

  • Meeting to be set up for Evaluations
  • Frank Zangeri resigns as 10U Travel Coach. Thank you for your time
  • Jeff Morey resigns as 12U Travel Coach.  Thank you for your time
  • Motion for Chaz Saul to be 10U Travel Coach (Milisists & Benes accepted)
  • Motion for Steve Kerbacher to be 12U Travel Coach (Sentiway & Bodnar accepted)
  • Motion for Rich Clancy to be 14U Travel Coach (Milisits & George accepted)
  • Motion for Jeff Morey to be 14U Travel Coach (Heimbach & Bodnar accepted)
  • Paper vote netted 10 votes for Morey, 4 votes for Clancy.  Morey is 14U Travel Coach
  • Steve Kerbacher will be Girls Lehigh Valley Travel Rep.
  • Gober 18U Coach believes he may have 2 teams this year, waiting for sign ups.

Baseball

  • Connie Mac League fees due, motion to pay fees (Bodnar & Benes accepted)
  • Lehigh Valley League Boys Travel Rep will be Glenn Benes
  • Motion for LVL Boys League Fees (Gehringer & Sentiway accepted) Needed for March 3rd meeting
  • Letter for LVL Boys League for light usage on field 1 was submitted to league.
  • Need bleacher removed from Canal Park & brought to NAA

Cheering – None

FieldHockey  - None.

Wresting–None

Football

  • SYFL has issued no weight changes
  • Season to start Aug 30th
  • NAA has been moved to new division in SYFL.  We are in the American Division.
  • New field will need Yard Line markers. Gober to get price.
  • Trevor to contact Circle Systems to get price for sanitizing shoulder pads, they also check straps & snaps, approx 180 pads

OtherBusiness:

  • Kerby to order infield mix ASAP
  • Tractors have been sent in to be serviced
  • Kevin George to start Lottery Fundraiser.  Payout will run June & July.  $50 per day, $100 on Fathers day & July 4th
