OLD BUSINESS:

Fundraising:  Baseball/Softball Clinic 3/14 and 3/15

                        Basket Bingo 2/28 @ Fire Station

                        Golf Tourney – get foursomes submitted/ need sponsors

                        Merchandise for opening day in the process

Facilities:        Qoute received for Batting Cages

                         Open to quoting for other constructional needs (doors etc)

                         Looking for quote on Snackstand rollup and 2 man doors

NEW BUSINESS:

Basketball: season is running smoothly

                    LVL meeting Sunday

                    Playoffs begin week of 2/15

                    Looking for court time for girl’s end of season tournament

                    Keep in mind recruitment of coaches for next season

 

Baseball:    LVL need team counts for March meeting

                    Count of 53 signups completed

                    CWL:  need rough number of teams for February meeting

                                 Discussed placing teams in A division/ concern with pitching

                                 Placing 1 team in A division may be required

                     Discussion on creating a Majors division – cannot be done at this time

                     With commitment to LTAA and field availability

      MOTION: Baseball Budget – 1st Clapso 2nd Reph  Passed by Majority

                      High School Hosting Coaches clinic Monday 2/23 from 6-8pm

                      Discussed how to submit coaches background checks

Softball:  Rough team counts needed for meeting

                NAA will compete in Parkland league and LVL

                LVL meeting next week – there will be no division split

                                                             Umpire contract not finalized

Football:  need check for League Fees

                 Motion 1st Bodnar  2nd Blaukovitch passed by majority

                 Next meeting will determine what Division NAA will compete in for 2015

                  ByLaw meeting will dictate rule changes/eligibility requirements

                  High School Clinic potentially held week of July 13th

 

Cheering: sign up dates determined and to be posted on website.

                      Wed. April 8th 630-8pm

                       Sun. April 19th 330-530 pm

                       Sun. April 26th 330-530pm     all at Rec Center

Wrestling: Division Champs 8-0

                   2 day Varsity Tournament Champs

                   Jim Derr – Coach of Year  - 3rd Consecutive Year

OLD BUSINESS:

Fundraising:  Basket Bingo 2/28 5 PM at Fire Station

                      Flyer will be sent to coaches/parents;

                      Clinic 3/14-3/15 – need approval from Rec Center

                      Lottery Tix being distributed at sign ups turned in from football

                      Golf Tournament April 12th

                      Open to Ideas for Merchandise sales for baseball/softball season

                       Yard Sale – dates to be determined

Facilities:      waiting on return call from vendor regarding batting cages

NEW BUSINESS:

Basketball:

  • Picture day Sat. Jan 31st  forms being distributed
  • Open courts being utilized for team warm-ups was addressed
  • Keep in mind – Coaches for next year
  • LVL looking for playoff scheduler  2/17 begin playoffs – looking for gym time
  • Dakota tournament 3/6-3/8

Baseball:

  • LVL meeting – Feb 4 need # of teams
  • CWL – reviewing potential of Majors team
  • Signup dates are on website/ flyer was distributed to schools/ emailed out
  • MOTION:  LVL Jersey purchase  1st Reph 2nd Blaukovitch passed by majority
  • In search of coaches at all level – specifically Midget and KneeHi

Softball:

  • Umpire contract was not finalized
  • Moore Twnshp in Parkland league
  • NAA reviewing placing Pixies in Parkland Prep league
  • Parkland league will be 12 game schedule 2 games/ week 4/27-6/6
  • All Star Game June 27 Championship June 20
  • Discussed hosing playoffs/ will conflict with current field scheduling requirements
  • 1 team in Division 1 – remainder can be Division 2
  • Kerbacher to contact other organization – look at potential of in house rec league vs Parkland league at Pixie level
  • LVL may divided into tournament and rec divisions

Football:

  • MOTION : Fred Cruz – NAA Flag Football Coach – 1st Slivka 2nd Reph passed by majority
  • Meeting at end of month – fees will be required
  • By Law committee meeting Jan 19- complete review of all by laws to be conducted
  • No official word as to what Division NAA will compete in for the 2015 season.

                  Undefeated season ongoing

Field Hockey:

Fundraising:

 

  • Baseball Clinic – looking at potential weeknight sessions
  • Basket Bingo – tentative 2/28

 

Facilities:

 

  • Researching quotes to fence in Batting Cages speaking w/ someone involved with the NAA
  • NAA Break in – new locks installed new keys issued – old ones will not work

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

 

Basketball:

 

  • Everything is up and running
  • Need to ensure no players and teams are on courts prior to games
  • Players need to show up no early than 15-20 minutes prior to scheduled game/practice

 

Baseball:

 

  • LVL Meeting : ump fees increase to $52 / no January Mtng. / Northwestern and Northern Lehigh merged /  league is looking for a Scheduler
  • MOTION: New Jerseys for LVL teams 1st Reph 2nd Clapso ( passed by Majority)
  • CWL : looking at potential Majors team
  • NAA tentative sign up dates/ flyer to be sent to school after Xmas break/ Melissa Hughes will be managing the snackstand schedule.

 

Softball:

 

  • Parkland Meeting: Div. 1 and Div 2 will  be playing with same rules/ umpire contract is due this year/ Moore Twnshp joined Parkland League /NAA to look into placing Pixie level in Parkland League / numbers to decide/ counts needed for league by 2nd week in March.
  • LVL:  26th Street fields in need of repair (Water Issue)

Football:

 

  • Good support from NAA at league banquet
  • Successful season at all levels
  • Need to review equipment status/Slivka will review and research options
  • No decision as of this point to which Division we will compete in next season
  • January League meeting will include By Law review
  • Look at reseeding Canal street and Atlas pregame area
  • Recommend soccer rotate their nets to not wear down fields at Atlas

Cheering:

 

  • Season complete
  • Final competition- all levels placed 1st
  • End of year party complete
  • Uniforms will be collected for Inventory to be taken

 

Wrestling:

 

  • Fall Brawl Champions
  • 1st meet vs. Catty – Win
  • 1 home match may be changed due to schedule conflict

 

 

Field Hockey:

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS:

 

  • MOTION – All Officers remain in position 1st Reph 2nd Wildman passed by Majority
  • MOTION – LVL Biddy Coach – Jeremy Reph   1st Clapso 2nd Slivka passed by Majority
  • MOTIOIN – LVL 14 U Softball Coach – G Winkle 1st Makovsky 2nd Bogden passed by Majority
  • MOTION – 80 lb Junior Pee Wee Coach- Matt Ricks 1st Wildman 2nd Henritzy passed by Majority
  • Will need to vote on a Coach for the Flag level of Football

  • looking towards baseball clinic

 

Facilities:

 

  • John working with Mr. Abi Daher on plans for building at Atlas complex
  • Will also receive estimates for doors at baseball complex

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Basketball:

 

  • Coaches needed
  • Everything is in line with Rec Center
  • Evaluations for 3rd/4th and 5th/6th levels on Sunday 11/16 @ Rec Center
  • K-2 starts after Thanksgiving

Baseball:

 

  • Everything has been wrapped up
  • NAA Midgets were runner up/ Knee Hi was Champion
  • Knee-Hi Tournament team took 1st place

Softball:

 

  • Everything complete
  • Parkland league meeting 11/13
  • Moravian clinic information sent to girls

 

Football:

 

  • Flags successful
  • 80’s undefeated
  • 100’s playing in Championship
  • 120’s into second round of playoffs
  • 140’s playing in Championship
  • NAA hosting championship
  • Need tables for Trophy display
  • Slivka retained a sound system
  • Henritzy resigned as Jr Pee Wee coach

 

Cheering:

 

  • Involved in competitions
  • All squads successful
  • Monies raised from the Northampton Competition – overall success

Wrestling:

 

  • Signups complete
