Welcome to the official home of the *2007 NABA National Champion* Myrtle Beach White Sox. The Sox are a competitive men's 18 + baseball team that compete in the MBABL (Myrtle Beach Adult Baseball League).
Tuesday, April 28
White Sox pitchers Austin Dooley (4 innings) and Nick Tennant (3 innings) kept the NMB Braves bat quiet as the Sox defeated the Braves 12 - 2. Cossentino (2 singles), Beuth (single and triple) and Drew (single and double) each had 2 hits in the Sox victory.
Sox will look to go 3 -0 when they take on the MB Yankees Fri. May 1st. @ 7pm. White Sox 2008 CY Young award winner Bucky Miles is the prob. starting pitcher.
Friday, April 24
Don't let the score fool you, this won was closer than you think! The new Red Sox left hander pitched very well and held the Myrtle Beach Sox to just 2 runs through 6 innings or work. White Sox ace Bucky Miles just pitched a little better. Miles finished his night throwing 5 scoreless innings, giving up 4 hits while striking out 9. Nick Tennant came in for relieve throwing 2 scoreless innings, giving up 2 hits while striking out 4. The Sox took a 2 run lead into the bottom of the 7th inning when the White Sox bat's exploded off the Red Sox relieve pitcher. Dan Gibson started the inning off with a walk and was pushed to second by a ground ball out from Greg Pearson. Josh Hamby (3 for 5) followed with an RBI single and scored on a double to the gap by Mike Beuth. Steve Cossentino (3 for 5) then singled scoring Beuth from second. Evan Kearns singled, Austin Dooley singled & Dylan McClary walked. All crossed home plate by a hard hit ball to the gap by Nick Tennant.
The Sox will take on the North Myrtle Beach Braves next, who also won there season opener over the MB Yankees 14 to 4.

Before the championship series, three Myrtle Beach Whitesox players received league awards for there outstanding play during the 2008 season.
Pitcher Bucky Miles was named the league's CY YOUNG award winner. Miles nasty line up of pitches gave hitters a tough time again this year. He recorded 95 strike outs in only 63 innings of work. Miles went a perfect 8 wins and 0 loses with a 1.57 era. Miles also finished off the Braves in game 3 of the Championship series.
Sox shortstop Josh Hamby was awarded a GOLD GLOVE award for his position and rightfully so. Hamby was solid all year for the SOX up the middle finishing with a .900 fielding percentage with 36 put outs and 57 assists.
Center Fielder Nick Tennant was also awarded a GOLD GLOVE award. The speedy SOX center fielder recorded 27 put outs and 6 outfield assists with an impressive .971 fielding percentage.
