Co-Captain Beuth To Leave Team!

Myrtle Beach White Sox outfielder and Co-captain Mike Beuth will be leaving the team to relocate back to Massachusetts in mid-June.  Mike has been a member of the White Sox since signing a free agent contract with the club in the spring of 2006.  There is no question that Mike will be missed on the field, as he holds a career .379 batting average and has provided great leadership to the team.  Mike even served in the role as White Sox General Manager during the 2009 season.  He has been a part of all the ups and downs through the years.  The downs being when he had to battle for his life after suffering a gunshot wound to the abdomen, 9 days prior to opening day in 2007.  The ups however were much greater as Beuth would return 4 short months later to help the Sox win the 2007 NABA League Championship and the 2007 NABA World Series.  In 2011 Beuth was on pace to have his best season ever as he currently has a .407 batting average and leads the team in RBI’s.  Mike is still hoping to fly down and join this years team for a run at another NABA World Series in early-November.  A great player who can do it all, but an even better teammate and friend.....Mike will be missed!

Van Winkle Pitches Sox to Win
