The National Federation Coaches Association awarded Coach Fischbein the 2000 Northeast Region Coach of the Year Award in Wrestling. The Northeast Region includes the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. | ||||
|
Steve Scrobe received the principle nomination, from Congressman Gilman, and will be attending the US Merchant Marine Academy, as part of the Class of 2005. Steve will also wrestle for the Div.III school. | ||||

Mike Mormile Ranked #1 @ 112 lbs for Seniors in the Nation at the end of the year by Intermat rankings & 2nd by Wrestling USA magazine John Gartiser Ranked #6 @ 125 lbs for Juniors in the Nation at the end of the year by Wrestling USA magazine & 12th by Intermat rankings | ||||

Michael Mormile earns All-American Status by placing 6th @112 at the National High School Coaches Association Senior Nationals in Delaware. | ||||

Casey Todd was accepted to Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia were he will wrestle for the Division 1 program. | ||||

12/28 - MW captured its third straight team title with 210.5 points at the Mid-Hudson Tournament. Mahopac was second with 181 points out of a field of 23 teams. Mike Mormile (112) and John Gartiser (125) each won for the third time at the tournament. Casey Todd took first place @ 145. Steve Scrobe came in second @ 189, Mike Penner took 3rd @ 130, Brian Houlahan 4th @ 160, Tommy O'Toole took 5th @ 275 and Ray Jessie @ 96, Andrew Franco @ 103 and Tim Schofield @ 119 took 6th | ||||
