                  Monroe-Woodbury Little League Umpires for 2016 Spring Season

The Monroe Woodbury Little League is excited to offer its members the opportunity to take part in Umpiring for the 2016 Season. Umpiring is a great way for our players and parents to be a part of the game while providing a valuable service to the community.


Critical Skills and Minimum Requirements:

* Must be 13 + years of age 

* Alertness, quick thinking, good judgment, verbal communicator, and most of all being passionate about the game of softball and baseball

* Reasonably conditioned: able to run, stand or bend  in the field or behind home plate for two to three hours under various weather conditions and temperatures

* Successful completion and passing our umpire training program

* Successful completion and passing the volunteer background check



* We offer 4-6 week training program to educate on the rules and mechanics to effectively officiate baseball and softball games.

* Our umpires are provided the required protective equipment

* Junior umpires can choose between volunteering and obtaining 2-hours per game community service letter, or elect for compensation starting at $20/game

* Senior umpires or adults may also choose to volunteer their time or elect for compensation


MWLL is committed to growing a strong core of dedicated and knowledgeable Umpires.

Games are played weeknights beginning at 5pm and on Saturday mornings.
