MVTC is a Summer track club for all youth 8 to 18 in the Quad City and surrounding IL & IA area.

- Considering open meet in Dekalb Illinois on July 25. Will depend on interest.
- AAU JR. Olympic Games DesMoines During the first week of August.
**Hotels for AAU JR. Olympic Games** Hotels are listed in the handout section of the site. You must contact the DesMoines Convention and Visitors Bureau at 1-515-699-3464, in order to reserve these rooms. Rob or Jay; at the DCVB will assist you in booking rooms. Please look at the terms of the contract for these rooms and understand. This contract is an agreement between the AAU and the DesMoines Convention andVisitor Bureau, not the track club. If you are concerned about the terms of the contract book your room yourself at a hotel of your choice.

Location: McManus Park Shelter #1 (Also known as Rocket Park)
12th Street & Mississippi Blvd
Bettendorf
(Just west of I 74 & a few blocks north of the Mississippi river)
(Same location as the last two years.)
What to bring:
- One dish to share (Salad, desert, vegetables)
- Chairs (Some picnic tables will be available)
- Plates & utensils
- MVTC will supply burgers & hotdogs
This is a GREAT time to return your MVTC uniform if not already done by this date!
Team results will be reviewed and certificates awarded to new MVTC record holders.

2009 Season Information:
- Congratulations to MVTC athletes Samantha Cameron (track) and Airreo Greer (football & track) who received athletic scholarships to the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). Alicia Rus will be competing for the University of Iowa track team next year. Former MVTC athlete Abbey Sawyer received at track scholarship to Western Illinois University.

- AG Bradford places 2nd in the Young Women's high jump (5'6")
- Breanna Watts places 6th in the Intermediate Girls Javelin (107' 9")
- Airreo Greer places 6th in the Young Men 400 meter dash (Prelims 47.39 Finals 48.28)
- Airreo Greer places 9th in the Young Men 200 meter dash (Prelims 21.88 Finals 21.93)
- AG Bradford, Samantha Cameron, Genesis Johnson & Brianna Runge 8th in Young Women 4X400 (Prelims 3:50.05 Finals 3:55.06)
- Anne Leners places 10th in the Youth Girls Pentathlon (2618 Points)
