Welcome to the Mockingbird Girls '92, 2006, 2007, 2008 and now 2009 Kentucky State Champs and past Kentucky Select Soccer League champions Spring 2003 and Fall 2004. After a successful 2008 high school soccer season the girls came back together for two fall showcase tournaments. This past spring (2009) the team again competed in the Premier Division of the Midwest Regional Soccer League. The Fall 2008 season consisted of two showcase tournaments: the Raleigh CASL Showcase and the Disney Soccer Showcase. The 2008/9 season concluded with another solid showing at Regionals despite having only fourteen players.
We are a girls' premier level "travel team" associated with the Mockingbird Soccer Club , in Louisville, KY. Our team was essentially formed in the fall of 2003 as the girls came together from several different directions and various parts of the greater Louisville area.
Read more about this great group of young ladies, their coach, Larry Raible, who has led this team since U11 for every year except their U17 season. That year they were coached by Ben Schneweis, who has returned to graduate school in his native North Dakota. The team history, their accomplishments, on the field and tournament record can be found on the pages of this web site.

Also Kaitlin Robinette was named All District for District 5 in Indiana which makes her eligible for All State recognition later this month.
And lastly just so she doesn't feel left out, I must note that Chloe Hutchinson was named to the All Tournament team after the championship match.

Hello Everyone,
I have just a couple of things to cover with you as well as laying out the schedule for the next 6 weeks.
First if you need to contact me you can email me at lraible@mockingbirdsoccer.net. Many of you have the old email address but to keep things all in the same place let's try to keep it through the club email. If you need to call me my cell number is 807-6542. I will not be texting anyone. I can read texts but am not quite cool enough to make that a primary means of communication. If you need to email call or talk to me I am willing to discuss any issue that you may have. For the majority of you we will start practice this Sunday from 2-3:30 @ Kennedy. We will practice weekly on Tues Wed and Thurs from 7:15-8:45 at Assumptions field. Good Luck to our SHA girls next week.
We have scrimmages set for Nov 14 and 15th (2 games each day Carmel on Sat and Cincy on Sunday) and then Raleigh the week following. The next week is Thanksgiving after which we will have 2 weeks of practice and then Memphis on Dec 12-13. The only additional practices that may be added are weekend practices next weekend and the weekend of Dec. 6-7.
I am looking forward to this year of soccer upcoming. I am excited that I have the opportunity to coach such a talented group of young ladies. We are a premier level team that will play a schedule that is fitting to our abilities. We will play this schedule to represent our team and our club and to improve ourselves. We have 11 girls who have committed to a school, another that is finishing up her freshman year, and a few others who are still finalizing their choice of where to play. We need to play against the highest level of competition that we can find so we can make sure the girls are ready for their college soccer careers. As I said in the meeting I do not know of any other way to do it other than all the way. Any conflicts that do arise please let me know as soon as possible. Again I am really looking forward to the season.
Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
See you soon,
Larry

Below is a listing of all the sites I know about and the team's ranking in Region II, and nationally where available, as of June 27, 2009.
| Reg II | Ntl | |
| Got Soccer (See Note) | 28 | 161 |
| Soccer in College (See Note) | n/a |
n/a |
| National Soccer Ranking | 16 | n/a |
| Soccer Girls 92 | 25 | n/a |
The first two services are numerically driven based on reported games (Soccer in College) or tournament results (Got Soccer). For some reason Soccer in College has lost track of our team this past season and shows no results. Got Soccer is also flawed. We should have gotten a bucket of points for finishing as semi-finalists in the Ohio Elite Showcase but a shown with zero. For reference Javanon got 1,201 points. If just this amount were added our rankings would be #1 in KY, #15 in Region II, and #99 Nationally - probably about right. National Soccer Ranking and Soccer Girls are opinion based. My personal view remains that they are either about 10th or 100th depending on the day.
