2012 FOOTBALL REGISTRATIONS
WILL BE AT THE BAKERVIEW PARK'S INDOOR RECREATION CENTER (INDOOR SOCCER ARENA). 3301 EAST FIR STREET, ON THE FOLLOWING DATES ONLY!!!
APRIL 28st, MAY 5th and MAY 12th, FROM 10 AM TO 2 PM.
RETURNING PLAYERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MAIL, A REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE INCLUDED. IF YOU ARE A RETURNING PLAYER YOU MUST BE REGISTERED PRIOR TO OPEN REGISTRATION AS YOU MAY LOSE YOUR POSITION. EVEN IF YOU ARE PREREGISTERED, RETURNING PLAYERS MUST BE AT REGISTRATIONS TO BE WEIGHED IN AND SIZED FOR JERSEYS.

Football gear will be handed out starting with the Seniors on Tuesday and ending with the Pee Wee's on Friday. It is manditory that each player start out haveing 3 days of non-contact practice.
WHAT YOU NEED TO START THE YEAR
ALL FOOTBALL GEAR AND UNIFORMS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF JOCK AND CUP, 2ND OR ADDITIONAL MOUTH GUARDS, GAME SOX, YOU WILL NEED FOOTBALL SHOES - IF YOUR BUDGET DOES NOT ACCOMMODATE NEW SHOES THEN WE HAVE A LARGE SHOE EXCHANGE OR DONATION PROGRAM, WHERE USED SHOES ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR KIDS.
THE GAME JERSEY IS YOURS TO KEEP.
MOUTH GUARD'S, GAME SOX, GEAR BAGS, UNDER ARMOR, SHORTS, T'S, HATS, BEANIES, HOODIES, ALL WEATHER JACKETS AND PANTS, SPIRIT FLAGS, DAWG DECALS, ALL WITH THE TEAMS LOGO ARE AVAILABLE. SEE THE HAND OUT SECTION FOR MVYF MERCHANDISE.

After school starts, practices will be 3 days a week Tuesday through Thursday. All games are on Saturdays. Home games will be held at the Mount Vernon High School Field, please find out game times and directions from your coach during the week at practice before your game. Game schedules are located in the HANDOUT section and for away games - maps/directions are available at the LOCATIONS section. Pictures are typically 1 week prior to the Jamboree, which is on August 21st in Burlington again.

PLEASE DO NOT ADJUST, CHANGE OR REPLACE THE CHIN STRAP ON YOUR CHILDS HELMET WITH ONE YOU PURCHASED SOMEWHERE ELSE. THE MAJORITY OF THESE CHIN STRAPS ARE NOT MADE FOR OR DESIGNED FOR YOUR CHILDS HELMET AND ARE A GENERIC MULTI-FIT CHIN STRAP.
NOT ONLY WILL IT VOID THE WARRANTEE ON THE HELMET BUT YOUR CHILD OR OTHERS COULD BE SERIOUSLY INJURED. THE CHIN STRAPS WE SUPPLY ARE AND MUST BE HELMET SPECIFIC AS PER MANUFACTURERS' REQUIREMENTS.

IF THE GEAR IS NOT TURNED IN AT THESE TIMES, A $50 FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY LATE TURN IN.
IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NOT RETURNED OR ARE LOST AND OR DAMAGED DUE TO MISS USE, YOU WILL BE BILLED FOR THOSE ITEMS MISSING AND OR DAMAGED. UP TO $350.00 CAN BE BILLED FOR REPLACING DAMAGED OR MISSING GEAR.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR GEAR GETS CHECKED IN AND SIGNED OFF BY EQUIPMENT MANAGER.
THOSE WHO HAVE NOT RETURNED THEIR GEAR FROM LAST YEAR - MUST RETURN THEIR GEAR WITH THE $50 LATE FEE OR PAY FOR GEAR BEFORE THEY CAN RECEIVE THEIR GEAR FOR THIS YEAR.

The annual Mount Vernon Youth Football Associations Auction and Dinner, will be on Saturday - October 6th 2012. Tickets are $30.00 per person and $50.00 per couple. Group tables are $200. Dinner and live music is included in the price of your ticket. Dinner starts at 6:00 and silent auction tables are open at this time. The live auction will begin around 8:00.
This year’s Annual Auction will be at the Best Western Cotton Tree Inn in the Cascade Room this year.
We have purchased a brand new auction program for our computers. Giving us the capability for multiple cashiers, so checking in and out will be a breeze again this year.
We would love to see all you Mount Vernon Football Fans!

- Concessions -
We will have our concession trailer at all home games and at other events around Skagit Valley. The DAWG FOOD is awesome, great burgers, hot dawgs, fries, dawg balls, all kinds of snacks and beverages hot and cold. (You have got to try the Jake's Special !).
A great thanks to Don and Linda Adkins and Boys (Jake and Justin) they had been working our concession trailer and cooking tirelessly - forever, they will be missed.
*** Parents are required to help with concessions and other functions throughout the season. ***
As well as supporting your team with your DAWG attire, coats, hats, shirts, flags and stickers are also available at games and the practice field throughout the season.
Our Auction/Dinner, Concessions and Merchandise, along with your much appreciated volunteered time is how we keep the DAWGS running. These fundraising activities keep our registration costs low and allows for updating and maintaining our equipment and gear, administrative and league fees, field fees, printing, web and other costs, insurance on your child and equipment.
Considering out of your registration fee - $25 is for fundraising cards (which you get back when you sell them) and $50 is for the jersey your child gets to keep, it's a pretty good deal. Information as to why, when and where, will be available at registrations and pre-practice parent meetings.
Show your support for Mount Vernon youth with a donation of $500 or more to our program and we'll add your business name to our concessions trailer and website for all to see!
