Brad Pataky and Adam Lynch, former PSU standouts and members of the Nittany Lion’s 2011 Big Ten and NCAA Championship team, will be on staff March 30th - April 1st to provide technique and instruction from the most critical aspects of freestyle wrestling.
While at PSU, Pataky was a three-time NCAA Division I National Qualifier. He finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships twice and was a University Freestyle Champion in 2008. Over the past several years, Pataky has been a coach and instructor at some the nation’s top wrestling camps. Brad is currently serving as an assistant coach at Lock Haven University.
Lynch ended his Penn State career as one of the team's leaders, coming back for a fifth year to continue the work of building a championship. Over the course of his career, Lynch posted a 46-38 overall record, a 6-3 in Big Ten action, had nine pins and 34 dual meet points. Adam is currently serving as Penn State’s Director of Operations.

This year we will be offering three seasons... The first will be a local/developmental USAW season which begins in November and concludes in December with the City Youth Championships and Memphis Elite Tournament. The second will be an competitive AAU and USAW season that begins in December and culminates in March with the State Tournament. This year our club will be hosting the West Region Tournament. The last season will be a USAW Freestyle and Greco season which begins in March and finishes in May with the State Tournament.
Registration will be getting underway for the freestyle/Greco Roman season this month. We will be conducting a parents meeting in mid-March to go over the particulars. This will be another first for the Mustang Wrestling Club. There will be numerous opportunities to compete this season, at weekend tournaments and weeknight duals. However, none of the events are mandatory. The tournaments and duals are designed for wrestlers to get mat experience. Our goal is to teach and reinforce the basic skills necessary to be successful at the highest competitive level while making the season a fun and enjoyable experience. Athletes will be taught fundamental skills and positioning, introduced to advanced skills, and participate in intense drilling, combative wrestling, conditioning and games.
Wrestlers can participate in one, two or all three. It is our desire to give our athletes as many opportunities to compete in local, regional, and/or national competitions. Please check the schedule and tournament information sections for additional details on the season's events.
