In 2008, as a Sophomore, Wesley Laytham ran the third fastest time in Northside history and came within 12 seconds of qualifying for the State Cross Country Championships as an individual qualifier.
In 2008, Wesley Laytham was CPS Sophomore-Freshman Champion in the Mile, and ran 17 seconds faster in the mile than American Distance Legend Steve Prefontaine did in his Freshman year of High School.
In 2008, Wesley Laytham Medaled at St. Patrick Invitational, Rebel Invitational, Gordon Tech Invitational, Pat Savage Invitational, and the CPS Championships.
In 2007, Wesley Laytham Medaled at the Mather Invitational, Pat Savage Invitational, and the CPS City Championships.
Wesley Laytham earned a t-shirt in the weight room by doing 20 consecutive pull-ups to become a member of the Northside Pull-ups club.
