Multisports Orange County (CA): Alderwood Run Club
The Alderwood Owls Running Club is a training and racing program. The club will meet once a week to train (Thursday’s after school) and have 1-2 racing events a month to attend, as well as some special guest speakers and clinic opportunities. The training program will go from Jan 17-May 2, with the final event being the OC Kids Marathon (mile) done on the last mile of the OC Marathon course on Saturday May 4, 2013.
The program is designed to teach a healthy and active lifestyle - including regular exercise, good nutrition habits, and the positive aspects of healthy competition. The Alderwood Owls Running Club incorporates the Aldererwood Elementry School values while we train and work as a team.

The goal is for each runner to complete a MINIMUM of 26.2 miles during the program and participate in 3 or more organized races. Ideally, we would like all runners to run 50+ total miles over the 16 weeks and do one or more races a month.
More specifics of the program, results, and photos are available in the Private Team Website Hosted By Shutterfly that athletes and parents are given access to once they are registered.
