Houston Mudcats Baseball 2009
Welcome to the 2009 Houston Mudcats. Arguably the best 18+/25+ team in Houston Men's Amateur Baseball League history since our first year in 1993. Just ask our senior league opponents. We went 9-2 last Spring, and 9-1 in the Summer season before losing too many players down the stretch to even field a team. Our apologies to the Astros for forfeiting in the Summer playoffs.
Some of the original Cats from the "dynasty era" are still going strong and have added some new friends along the way to keep this team going. We're building our Spring team right now with some good new player additions and are looking forward to baseball.
The Mudcats are looking for highly competitive players to join our team. We need a backup catcher for the upcoming Spring 2009 season. James Dunlap can't drive in all our runs and continue to catch every game. We need some new blood behind the dish who's not afraid to join a veteran team.
If you're a serious ballplayer and have an interest in catching for the Cats, contact Bill Brace at billb@chapelsteel.com
