STEELERS SUFFER TOUGH LOSS TO REBELS
In a defensive battle that went down to the last two minutes, the Steelers lost to the New york Rebels. 20-0. The Rebels scored on the opening series, when a questionable horse collar call and an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on a fourth down play, gave the Rebels the ball on the Steelers five yard. On fourth down, the Rebels scored. That was the entire offenseive output for the day. The Steelers intercpetd three passes an recovered two fumbles and stopped every drive the Rebels mounted. Ortari Blount and Ainsworth Minott were all over the field all day, despite playing with injuries. Offensively, with three OL and two RB out with injuries, the Steelers struggled all day to get a consistent drive going. In the last two minutes, the Rebels recovered a fumble that rolled into the Steelers' end zone, for a TD and on the ensuing drive, they intercepted a pass and returned it for a TD for the final score.
