Welcome to MRBA!

Please remember that unless you have been frozen to a team in the Majors or Minors, you will have to attend one of the evaluation dates.  If you are unsure which division your player should be in, attend the February 6th evaluation.  If your player wants to play in a division that is not in his age range, for example, a 7 year-old wanting to play in Minors, he will have to attend the evaluations regardless of his frozen status.  The Board of Directors will make the determination on whether they can play up or not.

Please wear tennis shoes and either sweats or baseball pants.  Bring cleats in case we are able to do some of the evaluations outdoors.

January 30th – Majors Evaluations – 1pm at Enumclaw Middle School

January 31st – Minors Evaluations – 1pm at Enumclaw Middle School

February 6th – Majors and Minors Make-up Evaluations – 1pm at Enumclaw Middle School

Also, Rookie and T-ball sign-ups will continue through February.

Babe Ruth sign-ups will continue until the middle of March.

Happy New Year everyone!!!!

It’s 2010 and the Spring season will be here before you know it.  It’s hard to believe that time is moving so fast.  I will get down to business now.

Registrations are steadily coming in.  We are going to grow again this year.  We have already received several registrations from new players.  Get your registrations in soon.  The sooner they are received, the better we know how the divisions will pan out.  If need be, we are allowing registrants to split their payments.  If you pay half with your mailed registrations, we will defer the rest until March 27th, the night of the Parade of Teams.  Also, if you are in desperate need of financial help, CLICK HERE to fill out a sponsorship application and mail it in with your registration form.  We want kids that want to play to have that opportunity and we will do anything within our power to make that happen.

Here are some important dates to remember:

Jan. 19th – Open Parent Meeting – This will be a chance for parents to come and ask the board any questions.  New and past members are welcome.  We will also accept in-person registrations.  The meeting will be at 6pm at the Key Bank in Enumclaw.

Jan. 30th – Majors Evaluations – All 11 – 12 year-olds that are not frozen to a team will be required to be evaluated.  All 10 year-olds that want to play in the Majors will be required to be evaluated, regardless of frozen status.  Please remember that there may not be room for all evaluated players to be on a Majors team.  In that case, we may move them down a division.  Enumclaw Middle School Gym, 1pm – 5pm.

Jan. 31st – Minors Evaluations – All 9 – 10 year-olds that are not frozen to a team will be required to be evaluated.  All 8 year-olds that want to play in the Minors will be required to be evaluated, regardless of frozen status.  Please remember that there may not be room for all evaluated players to be on a Minors team.  In that case, we may move them down a division.  Enumclaw Middle School Gym, 1pm – 5pm.

Feb. 6th – This will be the final chance for Majors AND Minors to be evaluated.  Remember, you cannot play in the Majors or Minors without being evaluated.  Enumclaw Middle School Gym, 1pm – 5pm. IMPORTANT!!!  During the 3 evaluation dates, in order for your player to participate, a parent or legal guardian MUST read, understand, and sign a concussion form.  State required.  We will also accept registrations in person on all three days.We will have more information regarding the Babe Ruth evaluations and draft once we have a better idea of the number of players.

Feb. 8, 9, and 10 – Draft days for Majors and Minors – if, because of disinterest, there are not enough players to field a Majors 60 division, we will drop the Feb. 8th draft date.

March 27th – Annual Parade of Teams

March 29th – The baseball season begins.

As always, I must solicit for board positions.  We are still looking for a Fundraising Coordinator, a Majors/Minors scheduler, and a Babe Ruth Scheduler.  Please take some of the workload off of us and apply for one of these positions today.

2009 PLAYER EXPENSE CHARTS!!!

Click on the link to see the cost breakdown of each division last year.  It's easy to read and understand.  We do not estimate anything and we are not hiding anything.

THANK YOU!!!

The MRBA Board would like to thank Dr. Mary Ballard for underwriting a quarter-page ad in the local newspapers last week.  We realize that it isn't cheap and appreciate the donation.

We would also like to thank Arrow Lumber for partnering with us during the Enumclaw Winter Parade on Saturday the 5th.  They allowed our players to ride on the huge trailer while we handed out flyers, candy, and baseball hats.  It was a huge success for both of us and such a high energy float.

Enumclaw Field Condition Phone Number 360-825-4342

The field conditions are updated around 3:30pm on the weekdays

and around 7:30am on the weekends.
