Mount Olive Youth Hockey Mission Statement
The Mount Olive Youth Ice Hockey (MOYIH) program’s mission for more than 30 years has been to provide a high-quality nurturing environment for the boys and girls of the township to learn, play and enjoy the game of ice hockey. In addition to foster the emotional and physical growth of the children.
MOYIH’s primary objectives are:
1.       To have fun playing hockey;
2.       To facilitate the development of each individual player in order for them to reach their full potential;
3.       To develop a strong sense of both “self” and "team"; and
4.       To encourage respect for others and develop good sportsmanship.
Our program is rooted in the fundamentals in order to create a solid foundation for players at all levels. As a member of USA Hockey we adhere to the fundamental principle of providing a positive environment for learning the fundamental skills of hockey.
MOYIH participates in the Morris County Youth Hockey League. Founded more than twenty five years ago as the Colonial Hockey League, the organization has fostered the development of hockey to the youth of Morris County.

The Morris County Youth Hockey League is proud to serve the youth of the county, keeping fair play, good sportsmanship and skill development as foundations for citizenship in the community.

They are a non- profit group of members serving the towns in the Morris County area. Over 2000 of the county's youth from the ages of 6 to 18 participate in programs run by the association.
