***ATTENTION PARENTS***

Macomb Township Little League is excited to offer some advanced player training for players ages 8 through 16. Training will be 1 ½ hours per week with a combination of professional instruction and MTLL coach volunteers leading the training.

Sessions will be age specific (8 year olds will train with 8 year olds, 9 year olds will train with 9 year olds, etc…). Space is limited and will be available in a first come, first serve basis.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

MTLL offers organized baseball from the ages of 4 thru 16.  We are chartered through Little League of America with eligibility requirements within the boundaries of Macomb Township. 

The 2007 season marked the completion of our third year with approx. 13500 registered players.  Our goals are simple...provide an enjoyable experience to all participants, teach teamwork/sportsmanship and develop the community's youth baseball talent.

Divisions include Tee Ball (4/5), Coach Pitch (6/7), Rookie (8), Minors (9/10) and Majors (11/2), Juniors (13/14) and Seniors (15/16).   The League Age of the player is his/her age as of April 30th.
 

The season schedule in general goes like this:
Dec./Jan. - Registration
Feb. - Select Coaching Staffs/Team Formations (tee ball/coach pitch)
Mar. - Tryouts/Player Evaluations/Drafts/Practices
April - Practices
May and June - Regular Season
July - Tournaments

CHALLENGER LEAGUE
 
A Challenger League is being offered by Clinton Valley Little League. It is open to any child 5 years old and up with physical or mental disabilities.  For more information you can contact Marilyn Wittstock at (586) 292-4509 (cell) or 586-781-5547 or visit the website at

Thinking of buying a bat?
Any bat used in MTLL must meet Little League specifications which means:
1) For 12u - shall not be longer than 33 in. nor more than 2 1/4 in. dia.
2) For 13/14 - shall not be longer than 34 in. nor more than 2 3/4 in. dia.
3) For 15/16 - shall not be longer than 36 in. nor more than 2 3/4 in. dia. for a wood bat and 2 5/8 in. for a non-wood bat. 

 



Sponsors and Advertising
Attention parents and local businesses, we are currently looking for sponsors for our t-ball, coach pitch and rookie league divisions. If you would like to sponsor a team or know of a business that would , please contact one of the League Board Members.

We are also looking for business ads in our 2008 league roster book. This is a great way  to advertise your business or personal greeting ad, very cost efficient too.

Code of Conduct
Every manager and coach is required to review and sign the Code of Conduct.  Your responsibilities as a 'teacher of baseball' goes beyond instruction.  It extends into role modeling, leading by example and a continuous display of good sportsmanship, morals and respect for others

VOLUNTEERS
No matter how much time you have to devote the League is always looking for volunteers.  All volunteers which include managers, coaches, team moms, etc.  must submit a completed Volunteer Application Form and a copy of his/hers drivers license to the Board of Directors.
