No Games Today - June 4

There will be no softball games played today (June 4) due to poor weather and field conditions.  Unfortunately, due to the unusually large number of rainouts this spring, we have run out of dates with available fields, so these games will NOT be rescheduled.

Get Ready for Softball Day!!!

The end of the Recreation Softball season is rapidly approaching which means it is time for Softball Day!

Softball Day is the culmination of the Recreation Softball season which includes not only the softball playoffs but a day of fun for everyone in the MSO Softball community.  The festivities and competition start at 10:30am on Sunday June 10th.  Mark your calendars!

See the Softball Day page for more information including game schedules and playoff brackets.

Rescheduled Games

Games that are rained out will normally be rescheduled within 48 - 72 hours.  Please check the schedule for make-up game dates, times and locations.  Please see the Schedules & Standings page for a summary of the rainouts we have had so far this season and the respective reschedule status.

NEW Schedules & Standings System

We are using a new system this year to keep track of our softball schedules and standings as well as to report game scores.  See the Schedules & Standings section of the website for more details.

NOTE: The previous Schedule and Standings sections have been disabled, so any links that you may have bookmarked will no longer work.  Be sure to use the links provided in the new Schedules & Standings section instead.

MSO Girls Softball

Maplewood-South Orange (MSO) Girls Softball is a non-profit, volunteer organization which is committed to the promotion of girls’ softball within the towns of Maplewood and South Orange.  We strive to develop great young women both on the softball field and in our communities.  We aim to provide a strong foundation in the development of fast pitch softball and prepare the girls to play in a competitive environment while still having fun.  We encourage players to be supportive of their teammates, be coachable, and be enthusiastic.  We seek to provide a positive, challenging and rewarding experience for all players.

The Maplewood-South Orange (MSO) Softball program is open to all girls from Kindergarten to 8th grade who live in either Maplewood or South Orange.  MSO Softball provides girls with an opportunity to play in either the town recreation softball program or travel softball program.  In addition, MSO Softball provides educational and training opportunities for players, coaches and umpires.  See the relevant links below and in the left-hand menu for more information on all of the MSO Softball programs:
