Monroe Senior Softball League: Welcome

The Playoffs started off with The Warriors taking game #1 from Tom's Plumbing and Hudson Valley Homes NY.com upending Rand Realty in 1st round C Division action. Game #2 went to Tom's Plumbing and Hudson Valley Homes NY.com who won two straight to advance to the Semi Finals beginning the Week of October 10th.  The Warriors upset the defending Champs Tom's Plumbing in Game #3 to advance to the Semi Finals against Nebrasky Plumbing. Hudson Valley will face off against Tank Masters.

In the C Semi Finals, Nebrasky Plumbing scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th to nip the Warriors 11-10 and Tankmasters edged Hudson Valley Home NY.com 12-11. In game #2, Nebrasky again came from behind and advanced to the Finals with the 13-12 win. Tankmasters also advanced to the Finals and will meet Nebrasky Plumbing on Monday October 24th at 7:15 PM.

In the C Finals, Nebrasky Plumbing captured the title by sweeping Tankmasters 15-3 and 11-8. Congrats to the Champs!

In the A Division, Best Mechanical outslugged Bourbon St. Bar & Grill 16-11 and Gilligans Clam Bar defeated the Captains Table 6-1. In game #2, both Bourbon and the Table evened the series and forced a 3rd game - Bourbon winning 14-4 and the Captains Table 8-4. In game #3, both Bourbon St. and Gilligans were victorious to advance to the Semi Finals. Fort Apache came back to tie their series with Afterdeck by winning game #2 15-13. The Deck took game #1 9-4. In game #3, The Deck was victorious setting up a Semi Finals matchup with #1 Seed Ramblers Rest October 17th at 7:15. The other series pits Bourbon St. Bar & Grill and Gilligan's Clam Bar immediately following the other A matchup.

In the A Division Semi Finals, Ramblers Rest took game #1 17-11. Game #2 saw the Afterdeck knot the series and force game #3 Tuesday the 25th at 7:15 PM. In the other series, Bourbon St. Bar & Grill took a 1-0 lead with a 13-6 win but Gilligans came back to trounce the Bourbonites in game #2 and knot the series.

The A Finals are set with Ramblers Rest facing Gilligan's Clam Bar. Ramblers advanced by beating the Afterdeck 9-5 and Gilligan's defeated Bourbon St. Bar & Grill 10-7.

Gilligan's Clam Bar became the A Champs by defeating Ramblers Rest 13-4 for a sweep of the best of 3 series. In game #1, Gilligan's stormed back from a 13-5 deficit to score 14 runs in the 5th inning and went on to the 25-15 win.

The B Playoffs were to scheduled to begin September 28th with Monroe Jewelers/Rosmarins hosting Master Chimney at 7:15 and defending Champs IDC battling rival Birchwood Caterers at 8:45. But rain has forced those series to begin on Monday October 3rd. Monroe Jewelers/Rosmarins Day Camp took game #1 17-10 but the IDC/Birchwood series was moved to Wed October 5th at 7:15 due to rain. IDC took game #1 with a 15-7 win. In game #2 action, Master Chimney came back to win and force a deciding game #3. IDC earned a trip back to the finals by defeating Birchwood Caterers in game #2 13-11. Monroe Jewelers/Rosmarins Day Camp edged Master Chimney 7-6 to set up a repeat of last years B final.

Monroe Jewelers/Rosmarins Day Camp were crowned the B Champs by defeating IDC 36-15. In game #1 of the series, Monroe Jewelers/Rosmarins used the long ball to take a 1-0 series lead.
