Maple Shade Street Hockey: Welcome

Due to the extreme weather conditions,

are POSTPONED.

Due to the large number of games that have been postponed this season, we have re-schedule some games as make-up games.

Instructional Division

Lil Chiefs at Avalanche on February 6th at 11:30am

Avalanche at Lil Chiefs on February 7th at 11:30am

Bantam Division

The Gods at the Sharks on January 25th at 5:15pm

Vipers at The Gods on January 30th at 5:45pm

Flyers at Gladiators on February 7th at 12:45pm

Sharks at Vipers on February 7th at 2:00pm

I am writing this to all Coaches and Parents.

We have received calls about us stopping the games on Sunday, after the second game. Some have expressed that we should not have stopped the games and others expressing that we should not of played at all on Sunday.

I want all Coaches and Parents to understand that we do play in the rain. The games were stopped on Sunday because the rink became unplayable. The ball could not roll on the ground along the benches or behind the nets because of standing water.

If it is raining, the rink is playable and it is over 32 degrees, we are going to play.

Also, we had a complaint that a parent drove to the rink, and we had called the third game.

Sometimes weather conditions cause the rink to reach a point where it is no longer playable. We do our best to make a decision to cancel as soon as possible, but it is not always going to be early enough to prevent folks from driving to the rink. We apologize for this inconvenience, but it is not always possible to cancel a game and reachout to let everyone know quickly enough.

The weather forecast is that it may rain this Friday evening.

Parents, if you feel that weather conditions are such that you do not want your child playing, please feel free to keep your child home. It will not be held against you or your child.

By joining, you can have access to different areas contained within the site. Coaches, for example, would have total access to their team home page, schedules, news, bulletin board, and chat room.
