PANTHER SEASON ENDS AS COMEBACK FALLS SHORT
Our kids really showed what they're made of on Wednesday night, coming back from a 8-0 deficit in a valiant effort but falling just short in an 8-6 defeat. The word "quit" is not in the Panthers vocabulary as they showed great determination in holding the Lions scoreless after the first two innings with solid defense and pitching while our offense chipped away at the lead. We simply ran out of time. Mo provided extrordinary relief pitching with 2 shut-out innings, fanning 5 of 6 and Teddy provided spark by banging a long tripple.
Sadly, yet proudly we say farewell to Alex and Will, two terrific kids who will be missed by their coaches and teammates alike. Will was as solid as a rock at 3B this year and banged out some of the hardest hit balls we've had. He's got a great head for the game as well. As for Alex, we've not seen a pitcher who can throw one by him and he probably had more assists at 2B than any other player this year. Thanks for your leadership guys, and best of luck down the road!

FAMILY DAY JUNE 15th
Come one, come all! Let's hope everyone can make it to family day on the 15th. Panther parents are asked to bring some kind of chip & dip for the entire chain to munch on.
Stop up at Gero on Saturday to take in the Tides or Hawks playoffs game and buy your tickets while you're there.
HAWKS PRIDE ON PARADE
The Hawks chain, including several of our Panthers were well represented at the town's annual Memorial Day Parade this week. The MSHLL section of the parade was literally a sea of orange, with just a smattering of yellow, blue, green, etc.
