Ruling re cards. UPDATED
Any player in the mens and ladies leagues outdoor and indoor who receive a yellow or a red card will be fined.
The fines will vary and will increase as per the number of cards the player receives
The outdoor and indoor will be recorded seperately. All cards in a season are carried over into the playoffs of that season.
2 yellows in a game is an automatic red and a one game suspension immediately. If the ref writes up a report the player will go before a Discipline board.

3 yellows to a player in a season is an automatic one game suspension.

MINIMUM PLAYER FINES
1st Caution (Yellow Card) No fine or game suspension
2nd Caution (Yellow Card) No fine or game suspension
3rd Caution (Yellow Card) $50 and a one(1)game suspension
4th Caution (Yellow Card) $15 fine only no game suspension
5th Caution (Yellow Card) $15 fine no game suspension
6th Caution (Yellow Card) $50 fine and a two(2) game suspension
Additional Cards (YellowCards) $50 fine and a three(3) game suspension and the player must attend a discipline hearing.

Dismissal (Red Card or Special Incident Report)
1st Dismissal (Red Card) $50 fine plus a minimum one (1)game suspension
If a report is issued then the player must attend a Discipline Hearing before being eligible to play.
2nd Dismissal (Red Card) $100 fine plus minimum two (2) game suspension and the player must attend a discipline hearing before being eligible to play.
3rd Dismissal (Red Card) $150 fine and the expulsion from the league

Note: 2 Cautions in the same game is the same as a Red Card and will be recorded as a Red Card and not as 2 Cautions.

The Red Card suspensions listed above are the minimum suspensions; upon receiving a red card in a game the player is automatically suspended from playing in the next game.
The league reserves the right to increase fines and game suspensions depending on the severity of the infraction.
Please refer to the OSA penalties for specific infractions;since we are sanctioned by the OSA we are compelled to abide by their rules and regulations.

MINIMUM TEAM FINES.
Any team that receives 10 Yellows during the season will be fined $100.00 and $25.00 thereafter for each additionl yellow the team receives.
Any team that receives 4 Reds during the season will be fined $200.00 and $50.00 for each additional Red the team receives.
The understanding of what constitues a Red is defined above and remains the same.
These fines are in addition to the players fines and again until fines are paid the team is ineligible to play.
ALL of the monies collected from the fines will be donated to charity as this is not about making money. However as it has been implemented to try to make players more responsible for their actions then at least others will benefit.

Jewellry -Ladies & Men

Hi

I have received complaints from players re the wearing of jewellry whilst playing. Please be aware that the ref has requested that all jewellry be removed whilst playing. However not everybody is adhering to this.

Earings, chains and diamond rings can cause problems not only for the other players but also for the wearer. Even wedding bands are not permitted. Please ensure that you remove ALL of your jewellry prior to playing.

The referees have no option that to enforce the CSA rules.

Please refer to http://eee.yrsra.ca/articles/Law_4_memo.doc

Thanks for your assistance on this.

Player Bonds

Please be aware that if the Men's league continues to amass yellow and red cards the next step will be to introduce player bonds.

The rules have penalties for players and teams so I trust we will not have to go to the next step. The next step will be any player that continues to recieve cards will be asked to post a bond.

PLAYING RULES

Just to confirm and clarify we play indoor under all of the rules for outdoor except for:

No offsides

Changing on the fly

If the ball hits the ceiling then it is an indirect to the other team at the point of infraction

Direct and Indirect calls are the same as outdoor but the space is modified obviously
