2012 MRC Field Hockey News…
Fall Registration begins April 1ST for all Levels…
- Kindergarten Clinic - 1 day per week (NEW LEVEL TO OUR PROGRAM)
- 1st and 2nd Grades Clinic - 1 day per week
- 3rd-5th Grades- Juniors – 2 day practice, Saturday game day
- 6th-8th Grades – Seniors – 2 day practice, Sunday game day
Volunteer positions include Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Parents. All volunteers must attend the MRC coaches’ clinic and complete the MRC background check located on the MRC website.

Games begin Weekend of September 8, 2012 - November 3, 2012
Our League consists of Teams in Marlton, Southampton, Indian Mills, Seneca, Burlington, Florence, and Pemberton. All Scheduled Games may be Home or Away.
2012 MRC Girls Field Hockey Program Coordinators
Junior League Coordinator, Jennifer Yocum
Juniors (entering 3rd-5th grade in the fall) play 8v8 including goalie, Junior games are played on Saturday
Senior League Coordinator, Maggie McGrath
Seniors (entering 6th-8th grade in the fall), play 11 on 11 including goalie, Seniors play on Sunday afternoons.
Developmental Clinic Coordinator, Desiree Brocious
Grades K-2 - Held 1x per week for 8 weeks on Memorial Turf
Team Shirts and Socks will be provided for the girls.
Colored Mouthguards (without strap), shin guards and cleats are mandatory in order to practice and play. They are the responsibility of each girl. Field Hockey sticks are available for use during the season, please email marltonfieldhockey@gmail.com to request one.
Our mission is to offer a program that will enable our young ladies to develop their understanding, skill set and game strategy for field hockey in order to excel in this sport in a fun and competitive manner.
State of New Jersey - Protective Eyewear Mandate:
Effective 8/3/06, All Athletes who wear corrective eyeglasses while participating in Girl’s Lacrosse, Basketball, Field Hockey, Soccer, Baseball and Softball shall be required to wear protective eyewear that meets the Frame Standard (ASTM F803) and the Lens Standard (ANSI Z87.1). Athletes will not be allowed to practice and / or play in non protective eyewear. This policy is being enacted due to an Act C.5:18-1 which requires protective eyewear for certain children participating in sports. 1st Thursday of every month 8:30 PM - MRC General Meeting Learn about upcoming MRC events and operations. Pose questions and present ideas with regards to operations of our Non-Profit organization and involvement with Evesham Township. Meetings are held at the MRC Building-15 Oak Ave, Marlton.

You must have the following pieces of equipment in order to play in the MRC Girls Field Hockey program.
1. Colored Mouthguard, no strap
2. Shin guards (soccer)
3. Cleats (soccer)
We have some extra field hockey sticks for use during the season. You must sign out the stick and return the stick at the end of the season. If you do not return the stick, a nominal fee will be due. If you are interested in buying your own field hockey stick, information on our website shows you what to look for in a stick.
