PLAYER CONDUCT AND BEHAVIOR

In order to provide your child with a safe and constructive environment, the Mansfield Pop Warner program
follows the National Pop Warner policies on Conduct and Behavior.
The following are some of the Do's and Don'ts:
DO'S
* Complete your homework before practice.
* Attend all practices.
* Players/Cheerleaders should be respectful to coaches and fellow participants.
* Encourage your teammates.
* Always put your best effort forward.
* Be positive and have FUN!
DON'TS
* Abusive or obscene language will not be tolerated.
* Extreme disciplinary problems will not be tolerated.
* Excessive "fooling around" or horseplay may result in loss of playing time.
* Taunting of other players is prohibited.
* Use of tobacco products, alcohol or drugs will not be tolerated.
* Weapons of any kind will not be tolerated.
* Chronic or lenghty absences should be discussed with the head coach so that he/she can plan accordingly.
Violation of these rules will result in disciplinary action and possible expulsion from the program.
APPEARANCE

National Pop Warner issues rules and guidelines on appearance for players and cheerleaders.
These were adopted primarily to address safety concerns, but also to allow our players
to represent our community in a positive light.
ALL
* Jewelry may not be worn during games or practices. The only exception is Medical Alert bracelets or necklaces.
* Bandannas are not allowed at games.
PLAYERS
* Uniform jerseys must be tucked in at games.
CHEERLEADERS
* Long hair should be worn in a ponytail or braid.
* Makeup should not be worn during practices, games or competitions.
* Nails should be trimmed for stunts and climbs. Nail polish should not be worn.
* Sneakers and uniforms should be clean for games.
MINIMUM PLAY RULE

The league requires that all players play a minimum number of plays per game.
We also encourage coaches to balance the playing time as much as possible.
Coaches do have the discretion and authority to limit playing time due to disciplinary problems or poor attendance.
MULTI SPORT RULE

National Pop Warner rules prohibit our players from playing in any other organized football (tackle or flag) during the season.
Players participating in other leagues are ineligible to play for MMF.
