When using the batting cage, you cannot disrupt the practice taking place on the field.  You need to be off the field in foul territory. 

 The procedure to reserve a batting cage slot is as follows:

1.Decide the time/day you want to hold your batting practice at the La Loma batting cages. Time slots are hourly and will begin at 5pm during the week and 9am on the weekends. 

*Given the number of teams in both the baseball and softball program teams will only be guaranteed one (1) batting cage session per week.  Pinto and the higher age divisions will be given priority over shetland teams.  Shetlands may receive reservations, but only if the time slot is not already reserved by Pinto or higher teams.

2. Send an e-mail to Danielle at jsimper@sbcglobal.net the Saturday before the weekday you want to have your batting practice.  Reservations will NOT be taken earlier. Reservations received before Saturday will be placed behind reservations actually received on Saturday.

3. In your e-mail request/reserve a date and time for your batting practice. Please include up to three choices in case your first slot is already taken.  

4. Check the website on Sunday evening to confirm your slot. (Normally reservations will be in place by 7PM on Sunday evening.) In case you do not receive either choice, another date/time slot will be provided to you if available and upon your request.

5.  You can request a reservation slot after Sunday evening, but you must allow at least 24 hours before your desired slot.

Please note:

1.  For safety and security reasons, if the manager or coach does not arrive on time for the reserved batting cage time, the reserved cage will be LOCKED. Specifically, if the manager or coach does not show up within 10 minutes of the reservation time the cage will be locked and the individual who unlocked the cage will leave. We will not leave it open to any parents; the manager or his authorized coach(es) must be in attendance.

2.  A batting helmet must be worn at all times in the cage.

3.  Do not disrupt any games that are going on.  You can enter the cage through the gate in right field.

4.  When scheduling time slots, we will not leave a slot open.  For example if one team requests 5:00 and other teams request 7:00 and 8:00, we will give you a 6:00 slot.  We will go to the cage and open it once and return to lock it up once a day.  We  can not leave it open.
