Monrovia Parks and Recreation Association (MPRA) is dedicated to meeting the recreational needs of the youth in the Monrovia, Harvest, Endeavor, and Legacy communities of Madison County. MPRA was established in 1993 and is the owner/operator of Phillips Park. MPRA has nonprofit status as a 501 (c) (3) organization (under IRS rules) effective Feb 9, 1994, EIN 63-1087837.

2010 Cal Ripken Baseball Late Registration is open
Late registration for Cal Ripken Baseball is now open. All registration is on-line. All late registrations will have a $25 late fee added.
All late registrants are added to wait lists to determine if space is available. Once it is determined that space is available, you will be sent an email telling you to complete your order. At that time you will be able to complete the checkout procedure and complete your registration.

2010 Softball Registration Now Open
Calling all potential Coaches. If you are interested and would like to be considered to be a Head Coach this Spring please go online and register yourself to be a coach. Click on the above link to register. This will not guarantee you a spot but will put your name on the list. We will then have a Mandatory Potential Coaches Meeting on Monday, Feb. 8 at 6p at the MPRA Headquarters bldg (old Library) in Phillips park. This will allow you to ask questions and see what all is involved and expected of our softball coaches.
2010 Softball Registration is now open. Registration ends Sunday, February 7, 2010.
Late registration fees are $125 for all age groups. Tball players must have been 5 years old as of Dec 31, 2009. Players must have been no older than 12 on Dec 31, 2009 in order to be eligible to play softball for our park.
Payment for fees may be made by credit card through the registration website.
Based on historical costs, we expect the following expenses (expressed in $/player) for the 2010 Softball season:
- Umpires $45
- Capital improvements $20
- Equipment $12
- Liability insurance $ 8
- Registration fees $ 4
- Scholarships $ 3
- Field maintenance $ 3
- Awards $ 3
- Franchise (Cal Ripken) fees $ 2
- Coach training/certification $ 2
- Coach background checks $ 1
- Advertising $ 1
- Total $104
MPRA Meetings
Where: MPRA Headquarters Building
When: 2nd Thursday of each month at 7 PM
Who: Anyone may attend, ask questions or make a statment.
Only current MPRA members may vote.

Jan. 21 - Phillips Park is Closed for the winter.
The Park will be reopen when baseball and softball spring practice begins on Feb. 20.
The Park is open fron sun rise until sun set for individuals to use but the Field Lights will not be turned on without specific permission of the MPRA Board.
