If you decide to do this you may skip the registration date and just go to the Mandatory Parent meeting. Please send in the amount due plus a copy of the Birth Certificate to me, address is below. If you wrestled with MCWC we already have your Birth Certificate on file. Remember the Mandatory Parent meeting is not the same as sign-ups. I'm giving you time to mark your calendars.

At Chippewa Valley High School
For kids ages 5 up to 8th grade.
Registrations are Monday October 20, 7:30-8:30 at Chippewa Valley High School in the cafeteria, enter school thru the main door (A).
For children who will be 5 yrs of age by Dec. 2009 or are not beyond eighth grade, here is an opportunity to come join a sport that will challenge their speed, strength, balance, and smarts. Wrestlers will be instructed to learn folkstyle (high school) wrestling, and practices will be held twice a week for approximately 23 weeks, beginning in November. Competitive tournaments are held on weekends beginning in January 2009. All wrestlers will compete in their age and weight classes. This club is a chance for the wrestlers to get out and wrestle kids from all over the state and around the nation. If you know the sport of wrestling you know that with few exceptions the state high school champions are individuals who have wrestled in their younger years. Registration will be held at Chippewa Valley High School on Oct. 20th or you can send it in the mail to the address below. You will need a copy of your child’s birth certificate and the $70 registration fee, payable to MCWC (if your child was a member last year, his birth certificate should be on file; also, families registering more than one child will receive a $5 discount on each child registered after the first). We will be wrestling in the MYWAY League. Registration fee includes MYWAY entry fees, T-shirt and a wrestling uniform (singlet), which will be distributed prior to the first match in January and retuned to us at the end of the year. BREAKING NEWS!
We have been recently informed that there will be a new MYWAY affiliated club forming in Chippewa Valley School District. This new club will be Head Coached by Greg Johnson formally of the Utica Warrior Wrestling Club and will be for families whose children will be attending Dakota High School. The club will be practicing at Dakota High School similar to how we at Motor City Wrestling Club utilize the Chippewa Valley High School facilities.
The coaching staff here at Motor City supports this initiative as it will address some of the complaints from previous years that the membership in our club was getting too large during practices.
Our members mean a tremendous amount to us and we honor the opportunity to coach your child. With that said, we are instituting a “Grandfather Clause” for our current members who reside within Macomb Dakota High School boundaries. This means that you can choose to stay with the Motor City Wrestling Club if you wish. If you choose to wrestle for the newly formed club we respect that and we will miss you and wish you the best.
