Welcome to the Motor City Wrestling Club website. The MCWC is affiliated with the Chippewa Valley School District in Macomb County, Michigan. The club offers a structured training environment for young boys and girls from age five all the way to high school. The club’s philosophy is simple: wrestling is one of the greatest developers of character and excellent physical fitness in the world. Young people learn the value of hard work, discipline, sportsmanship, and general health through practice and competition in the oldest and greatest sport on Earth. In our club, the coaches are all former wrestlers concerned with the individual development of all club members. Skill training, conditioning, competitiveness, and fun are all part of the emphasis of the Motor City Wrestling Club. Our wrestlers are expected to practice hard, compete fairly, and win and lose with pride and dignity. Wrestling is seen as part of the development of the entire person and not an end in and of itself.

Please note that there will be a MANDATORY parent/guardian meeting 11 November 2009 at the Chippewa Valley High School Cafeteria beginning at 7:30pm.
Pre-season Intensive Wrestling Camp!
Chippewa Valley will be hosting a preseason wrestling camp! This intensive camp is intended for High School, Middle School, and advanced elementary school wrestlers (with at least two years experience)
Date: 2-5 November 2009
Time: 6:00-8:30pm
Registration Fee of $60 per person includes all instruction and camp t-shirt. Family Discount: $55 for additional family member.
Register by 30 October 2009. (Late Registration Fee is an additional $10.00 and is subject to space availability.)

Singlets- If you have not turned in your singlet and if you plan on wrestling at the May 17th Border Wars, you can turn them in after that event but must coordinate a turn in with Coach Earl or Coach Roel. REMINDER- If you do not turn in your singlet (with the exception above), your check will be deposited. Thank you for your understanding.

As another reminder, please have your athlete wear appropriate practice attire as discussed at the meeting: that is wrestling shoes, sweat pants or shorts, and a t-shirt. All practice clothing CANNOT have buttons or zippers as it may injure another wrestler or damage the wrestling surface. Please contact either coach Earl or Coach Roel for any questions.
