The Morongo Basin Tennis Association is an all volunteer, 501(c)(3), Nonprofit, California Corporation. We are a Community Tennis Association within the US Tennis Association, Southern California Section. Our mission is to "Build a Tennis Tradition" where none existed before in the Morongo Basin, a 5000 sq. mile area in the Hi-Desert of Southern California.
We are an outgrowth of a thirteen member tennis social club founded in 1993 in Yucca Valley, CA.
We look forward to seeing you on-court.

National Family Tennis Championships Tournament coming to Basin
YUCCA VALLEY__
The National Family Tennis Championships Tournament is coming to Jacobs Park here Apr. 28, and other sites in the Morongo Basin .
The Morongo Basin Tennis Association is hosting the local first round of the tournament at Jacobs Park, Yucca Valley High School and Twentynine Palms High School . It’s an opportunity to compete against families from across the country in regional and final rounds.
Tournament play is open to all levels and to the public. USTA rankings not applicable. Divisions are Mother/Daughter, Father/Daughter, Mother/Son, Father/Son and Husband/Wife. Age requirement: children must not turn 19 years of age prior to Sept. 1, 2012 .
Local match format of play: one doubles set (7-point tiebreak played at six games all). No-Ad scoring for games. QuickStart format will not be used. Play is on full size, outdoor hard courts and with championship tennis balls. Double elimination.
Winners of each local division advance to a regional tournament.

Junior Team Tennis sign ups open
YUCCA VALLEY__
Junior Team Tennis sign ups are open with the Morongo Basin Tennis Association and Twentynine Palms Recreation, 760-367-7562.
Junior Team Tennis is a nationally sanctioned program of practice and match play for boys and girls, ages 6 to 18, all skill levels. The season runs from March 5 through May 19, 2012, at Basin community tennis facilities.
Players are assigned to teams based upon their home community, age, experience and skill level. Beginners are welcome. Players receive a free t-shirt in the colors of their team. Racquets are available, on loan, if needed. There is a small fee.
The emphasis of Junior Team Tennis is on fun, fitness and friends.
