Moon Tigers Make History!
Congratulations to the Moon Tigers for winning the PIAA State Baseball Championship for the 2nd consecutive year. It's the first time that a team in the AAA classification has won back-to-back titles. Many of the players on the team are Moon Little League alumni. Moon won the title by defeating Bethlehem-Liberty 3-2 behind the strong pitching of Derek Blyzwick and a 1-inning relief appearance by Brian Holliday. Way to go Tigers!





Congratulations to the Regular Season Champions!
Congratulations to the winners of the Minor League and Little League reular season champions. The Minor League title was won by Diane Cleaners. The Little League Division Titles were won by Butya's Restaurant and Lounge and Global Enterprises.!




Congratulations to the Playoff Winners
Congratulations to the playoff winners from the Minor League and Little League. In the Minor League Team Sportswear won the crown over Diane Cleaners and in Little League Nappie's won the best-of-three World Series from Masterpiece Homes two games to none.



Moon 11B Team Places 3rd in Bethel Church Tournament
Sorry for the late posting on this. I was on vacation but here are the results of the Bethel Church League tournament in which the Moon 11B Team played.

Friday 7/5 - Moon def. Bethel Church
MVP - Patrick Baer (pitched 3 scoreless innings).

Sat 7/6 - Moon def. Baldwin
MVP - Jeff Snaman (3 hits)

Sun 7/8 - Moon def. Cranberry
MVP - Jeff Snaman (home-run)

Mon 7/9 - Moon lost to Canonsburg in 10 innings.
MVP - Tim Haywood.(grand-slam homerun)

The boys played a consolation game on Tuesday night, since the 4th place team
forfeited.
MVP - David Homol (home run)

End result - Moon 11B Tournament Team 3RD PLACE!!

Moon Captures Little League District 4 Title
Moon's 10A Tigers won the Little League District 4 Championship in the 9 & 10-year-old division. District 4 covers all of Allegheny County and includes over 20 teams. The team then traveled to Shanksville, PA where it took second place in the Section 1 Championship Tournament.

The little Tigers also won the Moon and Ingomar Tournaments, and finished the tournament season with a 19-6 record. Great job guys! The players pictured above are:
