Youth Baseball and Softball Fair To Be Hosted At Clear Channel Stadium On December 20th
Youth Baseball and Softball Fair To Be Hosted At Clear Channel Stadium On December 20th
12/20/2008
The Lancaster JetHawks are proud to provide accommodations for the Boys & Girls Club’s First Baseball & Softball Fair on December 20th. Former major league catcher Andrew Allanson and national-renowned baseball instructor Perry Husband are the driving forces behind what is sure to be a fantastic day of baseball and softball fun. Multiple local youth baseball and softball leagues have already agreed to host sign-ups. All children that come out will have the opportunity not only to sign-up with their respective youth leagues, but also become members of the Boys & Girls Club for free. However, the fair will not be all paperwork. Free clinics hosted by local college players and former professionals will be held to demonstrate proper technique in everything from pitching, to hitting, to fielding. This is truly a unique opportunity for all children involved to learn from some premier athletes.
The first 500 children that pre-register will receive a free video of their swing and speed analysis. The crowned jewel of the entire event is a Home Run Derby & Skills Competition that will take place on the JetHawks field. For just $25 children and parents alike have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Lars Anderson, Bubba Bell, Mark Reynolds, and Dan Uggla and hit a homerun at Clear Channel Stadium. The skills competition will cost only $5. All proceeds will go to the youth baseball and softball leagues and the Boys & Girls Club. More information and pre-registration can be found at http://www.hittingisaguess.com/frame.asp?
